Funnily enough, the third film will supposedly be called Machete Kills Again...in Space! and feature Trejo wielding a lightsaber-esque machete.  I just hope they go completely gonzo with the sequels.  They need to bring in Michael Biehn for a main role (Cartel leader maybe?) and have Fahey come back as a cyborg or something.

I think some crazy space Machete would be pretty great. Like you said...go totally gonzo on the sequels!

Will definitely join in the clamour for more gonzo for the sequels. Machete was fun but, apart from the phone gag and the entrail abseiling, it all felt a little mild. The character deserves better. Trejo deserves better. Dammit, we deserve better.

Machete was a disappointment but Rodriguez had me at "space".  Did not see that coming.
