The first two words of my reply agreed with you that it annoyed me. 

You can count on Jesus being thanked on television at least 10 times each NFL weekend.

Jaguars do not have PSL's. That was Richardson's brainchild in Carolina. It's strictly season ticket sales, no strings attached.

Not that it means anything, but the last place Chiefs had FIVE players selected to the Pro Bowl, and TWO of them (Tamba Hali and Eric Berry) are starters. In the AFC, only New England, Houston, and Baltimore had that many, and those 3 teams won their divisions.

I will love my Chiefs through anything, but even I admit that makes no sense.

Richard Sherman won his appeal. Now, the Seahawks will have their secondary at full strength for the playoffs. Big news for them.

Looking at the playoff picture as it stands, I think I can pinpoint the Superbowl favorites in each conference. Elite QBs win Superbowls and their are only a few in each conference once the playoffs start. The AFC is simple: it'll be wither the Pats or Broncos, Bardy or P. Manning- take your pick. In the NFC its A. Rodgers and maybe Matt Ryan, no Eli since the Giants won't make the playoffs. So I see a NE v. Green Bay Superbowl.

I love RG3, Andrew Luck, even Andy Dalton and Flacco. But the first 2 are rookies and Dalton and Flacco aren't elite, so they won't make it.

If Seattle gets a home game in the playoffs, they'll almost certainly win. They haven't won on the road yet, though. Still, with their secondary at full strength, they could be really interesting.

I agree with History Buff that the AFC boils down to Patriots-Broncos.

Andy Reid should coach the Chiefs.  He'll have the first pick and talent on defense.  I think he can help turn them into a playoff team.  I bet the Chiefs would take what the Eagles had with Reid.

Could only be the niners.  If the Packers lose, then the Bears aren't in the playoffs.

Packers are playing for a bye.  No way they lose.

Reports have a couple of NFL personnel guys as early favorites to replace GM Gene Smith, who would then probably get the latitude from Khan to keep or send Mularkey packing. (Candidates are, per Adam Schefter, Arizona's Jason Licht or the 49ers Tom Gamble). I don't subscribe to the Andy Reid rumors floating around, but hell I wouldn't turn him down. I just don't think that's a move he would want to make.

There is still a lot of pressure to acquire Tebow and just make a go of it, but I can't think that Khan will handicap a brand new GM that way. I personally hope it doesn't happen because it'll stunt the growth of the Jaguars as an organization. I just think it's a no-win situation for him because I'm convinced he is not a long-term NFL QB.

As for the draft, they need everything. Literally. Well, except for a punter.

They got suckered by thinking that the 2011 defense, which finished sixth in the league in yards allowed, was good. What they failed to realize is that the reason the defense ranked so high is that the Jaguars had ball control with MJD that year, reducing the length of games and therefore the amount of yards they gave up. It was also skewed by some real crazy results (like the MNF 9-0 win over Baltimore in which Flacco was about as bad as you could be as a QB). So they went into this year thinking the defense was good, but instead had to deal with LBs Clint Session and Daryl Smith never playing, Derek Cox getting hurt all the time and a revolving door at the other CB position, not to mention the two "franchise" DTs in Alualu and Knighton taking massive steps backwards.

Friggin Packers.  I hope AP runs all over them next week and gets a win.  And with the 3 seed they get to go to SF if they win.  Good luck with that.

It was a weird day.  Bears had to pull for the Packers, and I'll admit, I was pulling for the Bears as I had no desire to see the Giants in the playoffs.  Them bastards have our number.

Greg Jennings sister... I'm sure Kurt Warners wife would like to take you out for some Mexican food.

Next week, I'll take Seattle, GB, Houston and Baltimore.

Hard not to like NE, Denver, SF and Seattle (if my understanding of seeding is right, Seattle would line up for the annual "win in Atlanta" game) for the championship games. The other 9 teams just look far too flawed.
