Taika Waititi is the writer/director of "Eagle Vs. Shark" and episodes of "Flight Of The Conchords":

"Inspired by his Oscar-nominated short (Two Cars, One Night), Taika Waititi offers a charming, funny, and wild coming-of-age story where everybody has some coming-of-age to do. Never short on laughs, Waititi’s story is ultimately about three boys (one grown) reconciling fantasy with reality."

It's a good little flick.  VERY kiwi.

But it's got solid humour, a heart of gold and some genuinely earned pathos.

Yeah, good movie. Not exactly unforgettable, but charming, low-key coming-of-age stuff, with a nice sense of child-like playfulness.

Waititi is probably more recognizable to some of you as the comic relief best friend in Green Lantern. OH GOODY.

But he's the adult lead in this movie (as well as, obviously, the writer and director), and he's very very funny and real.
