I wish they had a little more of the finale scene, the exiting the room, if you know what I mean.  Other than that, Fucking awesome.

I'm so insanely jealous of folk doing their first rounds with this show.

You just get to keep going and going, and it just keeps getting better and better, and there is no agonising wait between seasons.

Think it might be time for a revisit from ep1 through to the last.

Thankfully the wife is a fan too, so there will be no argument :-)

Anyway, I'm about to watch the season finale...I nearly cried when Walt let Jessie's girl die.  Those were some intense, conflicting emotions inside me.  On the one hand I hated him for not helping her, on the other, I understand why he did it (to protect him and his family...which now seems to include Jessie).  And if only Q had followed through with his promise of putting her in jail...he'd still have a daughter...Christ this show.

I'd be more excited for Herzog playing the CEO of Madrigal Electromotive Industries.

Nice, I'd mentally picked Udo Kier or Christophe Walz but Herzog gives it a whole John Huston in Chinatown vibe.

which would be pretty much perfect

Did an all day season 3 marathon, and I'm....speechless.  Just speechless.

And of course you'll now get Tomas' "RUN" reference :)

Yeah, I got my S3 all dipped into my S2.  Nice to be able to marathon this.  I've been watching it on TV since the first protracted season.

Jealous rage.

I fucking lost it at the ATM.

Oh man, if the ending to Breaking Bad is pretty much the same as the ending of Red Dead Redemption....

I think I'm going to hold off season 4 until season 5 blu ray is released and I can sail through the second half of this masterpiece of a show.

Ambler, you can't do that... I mean, you would have to wait to see the glory of Giancarlo Espinito as hitting all cylinders as Gus. The world rocking consequences of the Season 3 finale. I mean, the season opener was as strong or stronger than Season 3's close.

Yeah man, I don't know how you can stop at the season 3 finale and not keep going. You're talking to folks who had to wait more than a year to see the consequences of Walt's actions against Gus! At least give yourself the season 4 premier to wrap things up a bit!

Yeah, waiting a year and a half for the season 4 premiere was hard enough to do when I had no choice.  Having a choice and doing the same just seems like masochism to me.

And believe me, being a Cubs fan, I know masochism. :)

It took me this long just to start the series.  I can wait.  And the beauty of seeing seasons 1-3 uninterrupted is too valuable for me to be impatient with 4 and 5.

I am so confused.  If seeing 1-3 uninterrupted was so great, wouldn't going 1-4 be that much better?

If anything, it would make sense to stop after the even numbered seasons, as the 2/4 premieres pick up their cliffhangers literally seconds after the respective finales.

and 4 ends so nicely gift wrapped it could have been a series finale, though I'm glad it wasn't  You really will enjoy going forward, so you don't have any cliffhanger.

Been re-watching the series with a friend (and man, sharing this show and seeing the joy on their faces is the closest I'll ever get to feeling like Santa) and just got to "Better Call Saul." I'm really hoping a garbage truck full of DEA agents comes into play in the final season, only because it would make me giddy to trace Walt's downfall to a helpful suggestion by Badger to the DEA.

So in short, if you see a garbage truck in season five, look out!

Knowing Breaking Bad, the garbage truck will be full of DEA agents and some kid will turn it on and squish all of them.

And I will laugh and laaaaaugh...

This makes me so happy.  Plemmons has a great presence but is no chameleon, so he needs to be given a certain type of role to really work.  But if there's any show going that can use him correctly, it's Breaking Bad.  I'm getting pre-emptively upset at the horrible, horrible way he surely going to die.

In a weird coincidence, I watched that episode in Season 2 of FNL just last night. Plemons is great, I can't wait to see how Gilligan uses him.

The thing about that is, Plemmons carries it all really well.  He mostly makes it work in the moment, but it's the whiplash of going from it back to a story about rally girl jealousy that sinks it.

This is totally bizarre...

The Bizarro world Matt Damon!?! I cannot wait to see what evil villianous things they give him. He is a decent actor.

On my FB, AMC just announced the premiere will be on July 15th!

My article on the subject, along with the fact that the final 8 episodes won't air until SUMMER 2013. Damn.

Good to hear about Jesse Plemmons, though. He's been one of my favorite up and coming actors, and it's good to know he's going to be on season 5.

Mother f@#%ers! They are killing me with this stuff. It's the same as releasing the Sopranos Season 5, Volume 1. Just soaking up the money and pissing me off. Argh!

What horseshit. I'm already impatient enough for new episodes as it is, this is... too much.

Like we didn't already know it'd be split up back in March?  I've had two months to get over this "news".

Until now the assumption had been half the season this summer, half the season this winter.  Maybe you had information we all missed, but this is the first time that I know of that we've found out we're waiting a full year for the final half of the season.

Call me a glass-is-half-full kind of guy (because nothing goes together like Breaking Bad and optimism), but I still look at two shortened seasons of 8 as superior to one "full" season of 12.

I posted this info in March (#10 of this thread).  Anna Gunn said then, that they're shooting the second half in the winter.  Not that it's going to air at that time.

And as a pessimist I'm worried that I'll be killed in a horrible paragliding accident this winter and never know how it ends.

Basically, if Sony calls it all "Season Five," they don't have to pay a raise to the cast or crew for another season, they can sell two DVD/Blu-Ray sets, they get two years of free publicity from critics, and the Emmys and AMC get to call it "the final season" twice, and increase their ad-revenue accordingly.

That being said, the production number for the first of the summer 2013 episodes will be Episode #509, so I'll still call it "Season Five." Yes, I'm an OCD nerd.

Yup.  The optimist side of me thinks "well, it'll be mint as they have that time to polish it" and the pessimist side of me is screaming "you have to cheat death for ANOTHER year!"
