I'd have loved for Purefoy to turn up on Thrones, but Hinds is a great choice too. Those guys need more exposure. It was awesome to see them team back up in John Carter, but few people saw that one I guess. It's going to be great seeing Hinds back on HBO in any case.

This is my first ever comment on here - was just strolling through all the discussion pages and came up with  my own theory on the above issue... (BTW I have NOT read any of the books so this is pure speculation)... 

 

Perhaps the smoke demon/assassin only works if one of it's casters/creators (in this case Stannis) shares a direct blood link to the intended target...?

 

The gestation period didn't seem to take too long & there's heaps more obvious threats (to Stannis) than that which his brother Renly posed.

 

Anyways, nice to be here people - and here's to Season 3 being an absolute corker!!
