Meh...it's been done.

 

I was really hoping for an ID4 sequel where we beat the aliens by uploading a trojan hidden in a youtube video using Windows 8 after they'd hijacked our wifi.

I'm stunned that Emmerich's career continued after the crowning achievement that was "2012." Where do you go after you've blown up everything? I guess back to the White House.

 

I do want to know more about this "Singularity" thing he's working on, however.

No. "Die Hard in The White House" does NOT sound badass. At all.

 

I'm seriously going to give up on Hollywood at this rate. It's becoming a zero-sum game of despair. Hurry up with your industry-killing 21st century Cleopatra, guys.

 

That Emmerich keeps getting huge budgets is a perfect thing to point at and say "no, I draw my line here thanks".

 

I need to reinspire myself with some good asian or euro-cinema. This shits beyond done.
