Just curious which you prefer and why.

The Parker from five years ago would say Blowup. The Parker today says Blow-Out, hands down. They're both great movies and very different, despite similar premises. But if it comes down to it, which would you prefer?

Blowup is the cooler film (Yardbirds!) but Blow Out is the better film.

That's all I got.

I wish there were more DePalma-philes on the boards. Not even close, if you ask me. BLOW OUT might be the masterpiece of the 80's.

I just couldn't GET Blowup. I saw it in a film class years ago though.  I should give it another shot, but I've always had a hard time wanting to revisit it.

Blow-Out though... that's just fantastic.  It's... LUSH.

...and Travolta is just such a badass in it.

Blowup. It remains a provocative and visceral experience to this day, with a somewhat vile and unsympathetic protagonist who's a joy to watch. I remember enjoying Blow-Out more than I can recall any individual scene from it, which is probably why I've found Antonioni's film far easier to revisit.
