Franco is the aptly-named Prince Fabious, golden boy of the Kingdom, slayer of beasts and recently engaged to a hottie. Danny McBride is his resentful, mopey brother who is often too stoned to...
This film boasts an incredible story and a very impressive soundtrack. Trainspotting includes graphic scenes of drug use, sex and death. One of the finest films to come from Scotland, this movie...
Rented this last nite-can somebody please explain to this brain-dead idiot what happened, especially in the context of the previous three films? What was Coscarelli trying to do?
Don Coscarelli was trying to make a film with $4.00 American. The end result is a disappointing mess to everyone but the die-hards, among which I count myself.
It ends up being a nostalgia trip, and not much else, and leaves more questions then it answers.

Hmmm. Actually, I thought #4 was quite polished, but it looked like the screenplay was up in the air. I was lloking forward to good tall man facing off with bad tall man, but never happened. Had a lot of potential, though. Maybe they can tie it together in #5.
I love Phantasm. Love it. But the fourth film was messy, and the addition of Bruce would be stupid-because Reg is the hardass of THAT series, and Bruce's role would probably be small and lead to death.
No,no,no, HAM, I have to disagree. I think that Bruce's addition would revitalize the series. Yeah, maybe he will die, but I don't think the part is small. The producers are now hoping that a studio will make the film now that he's in it, so why make the part small. C'mon, don't you think it would rock just a little to see two badasses take on that tall fuck?
You actually think a major studio would do a movie because Bruce was in it? They don't even CAST him when they should-why would they produce something he'll be in BRIEFLY?
Okay, fine, so I'm the bad guy because I wanna see Bruce in any movie I can. Fine. I got it from Horror Fans Anon, and it was on Cinescape Online. The line about a studio backing them was directly from those sources, not from me. Man, you guys are hostile. I just wanna have fun.
I think Bruce would do great in Phantasm - he could take over as Mike's older brother. He and Reg would make a pretty cool team, both with chainsaws:
Reg: Come on, Motha!
Bruce: Come get some!
What I'd really like, though, is a strong explanation of what the Tall Man is up to. Why is he stealing these bodies? Why'd he leave the little house on the prairie and become a badass? What's with them damn little flying balls anyhow?
