The USA Network has been accused of having some bland, vanilla, beige-as-fuck original programming before, but I like White Collar and Suits well enough, so I decided to give this a go as I lay in my hotel room on Friday with nothing else to do.
AVOID THIS PIECE OF SHIT AT ALL COSTS.
This thing was offensively bad. I can see the pitch meeting now: "Ooh, let's have a couple of cops. One's a womanizer, right, but that's not enough. We gotta make him sympathetic so the women won't turn on him, so let's make him an ORPHAN! And the other one is anal retentive and a douche, but let's make him sympathetic, too! He was a lawyer! A rich one! And now he's a cop because of guilt over putting some innocent dude in jail! Because being a cop keep innocent people out of jail much better than say, being a LAWYER WHO GETS PAID TO DO JUST THAT. And let's put them in couples counseling! Because that's something that a police station would do if partners were fighting! OH YEAH!"
That pilot was fucking terrible. Awful acting, flat cinematography, an uninteresting murder-of-the-week, and unlikable characters who I gave fuck all about. There was nothing that made me want to watch more. I hope the show is canceled and the children of all involved are boiled in oil.
