My understanding of "greenlit" is "no crap, this is going to happen, we've set aside the money and cameras are getting ready to roll (or at the very least we're doing serious casting and final pre-production)."
Not "Yeah, we're kinda thinking about it and working on a script" which seems to be the stage that the Fantastic Four reboot is currently at. With a director sort-of/maybe attached.
I would assume they have to have cameras rolling by a certain point or the license expires.
