In which movies does this happen?

I'm looking for films with scenes like these... Someone gets a surprise or gift, but misunderstands what it is, and thinks its something fantastic right in front of him, but is then disappointed when the surprise-giver has to point out the real thing, which is vastly inferior, and usually right next to the fantastic object. There is usually a camera pan that goes with it, from awesome object to disappointing object. Happens in comedy, usually. Please help, its on the tip of my tongue but I cannot find it...

You looking for one specific comedy? Or any scene where something like this happens?

Any scene from any film really... would love to see that camera movement.

 

An example I can think of, but its not really right, is in Transformers when Sam mistakenly thinks his dad is buying him a Porche or whatever it was... but he's not, boo. But his dad did that on purpose, as I recall, as a joke...

Oh, well there's a scene in a second season episode of Louie where his daughter gets all excited about a present but is then disappointed. No pan though. I also remember some car commercial where this girl thinks her parents bought her a convertible and then realises it belonged to the neighbour... Not sure car what it's for though?

Just in case this reminds someone of something.... I just thought of another bad example in How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, where Andie and Ben leave the restaurant for the first time. A fancy car is parked outside, and Andie heads towards it, very impressed... however, Ben walks straight past it to the motorcycle parked next to it, hands her a geeky helmet, and tells her to get on the back... to Andie's dissapointment.

 

Something like that.
