Oh yeah.

I've got to be honest, that smells like pure gasoline.

That's jazz, baby.

Both of them are pretty great. But I do agree the non creamy one is a bit better.

It's hard for me to see pure Brick there after 7 seasons of THE OFFICE.

I honestly never got the appeal of The Office and am glad that he's free of it to do more film work.  Granted not everything he has done is good, but it'll be nice to see more from him.

This is where I post about the trailer.

Champ Kind still seems to be the weak link in the Channel 4 News Team

Yeah I like David Koechner to an extent but he is definitely in the shadow of the other three.

Please be good. Please be good. Please be good.

WRONG.

Just his confession of love to Ron makes his existence 100% justified.

Also underrated: Him presenting Brian's groin to Corningstone like Vanna White during her first broadcast.

Hmmm, drink it in.

And how did I forget Paul Rudd is in this? It's been a few years, but wtf.

And as always happens when Anchorman is mentioned, I'm off to youtube to watch outtakes.

I think I'll join you. Still haven't listened to the commentary.

Hey! I'm not saying I want his existence erased. I consider him a valued member of San Diego's Number 1 news team. I just think Brick, Brian and Papa Burgendy outshine him.

Shit a squirell shit a squirell shit a squirell

Is it me or does Carell not seem all that much into this, from the two teasers?

I'd be happy to hear anecdata to the contrary ("I'm jizzing with delight every day on the set to be back with these guys," Carell told EW). But dude's had his own show, been a lead, and now he's back playing his just-before-stardom idiot character. I hope he's doing it for the fun and not the paycheck.

if they recapture 1/10 of the magic and insanity of the original, I will poop in the refrigerator and eat the whole wheel of cheese

How can you tell that? Correct me if I'm wrong but his character Brick isn't exactly a mountain of emotion.

I love lamp.

Without hyperbole, I cannot imagine a more fun environment to be in than the Anchorman 2 set. I would do unforgivable things to be a part of that team.

The guy pretty much stole the first movie, and gets the biggest laughs in both versions of the trailer.  I'm sure he's just fine with reprising the role.

Its comments like that that have me questioning where some people's interest in film lies. How can you make up your mind on an actor's mindset based on two frigging teaser trailers where he's playing his character to the hilt?

All right, all right, comment retracted. Sheesh, y'all are touchy about your Anchorman.

He looks older. I mean, he is older, but of the four he's the one that's most starting to show his age (and/or he didn't have his makeup properly applied).

Jesus, they're all in their 40s.

Is it me or do I not seem all that much into what I said about the two teasers?

It's been a while since I saw Anchorman (not since it came out actually) and had forgotten that's basically Brick's character, to be obliviously stone-faced and saying bizarre shit.

Anchorman 2 will be unicorn orgasms on Christmas. Now bring it in for a hug, you big knuckleheads.

He killed a guy with a trident.

...and ate a big red candle.

The "big red candle"-bit is only in the theatrical version, I'm guessing -- haven't watched that version for several years, but think I might give it another go one of these days, here.

It's not in the Unrated Cut, from what I recall...there's several differences between those two, and I'm assuming that's one of them.

I'm pretty sure the red candle bit is in the dvd. I may need to re-watch it.

I wonder if we'll end up with another weird feature-length alternate film made up of outtakes again?  I kinda hope so.

The blu-ray has the theatrical with the "big red candle" bit as well as the unrated version. As I recall, Best Buy packaged Wake Up Ron Burgundy with the unrated cut on DVD, but not the theatrical.

Yeah, I've pretty much only watched the Unrated Cut on both the DVD and, lately, the Blu-Ray after it came out not too long ago. Actually forgot there were some different bits (like the "red candle"/"screaming Japanese family" ones) in the theatrical version.

Looks like they ditched the musical idea. Or more likely Universal vetoed it. Not that I could see it, at least not live, but still a shame.

Commentary will easily top the movie itself
