A whole lotta awesome genre films are streeting on Blu-ray via Shout Factory.

That THEY LIVE Blu can't come fast enough.

 

THE ISLAND is an odd duck to be sure, but I don't know of any other films where Michael Caine busts out a Browning .50 Cal to shred up a bunch of pirates so it'll have to do.

I guarantee Carpenter's other two Universal efforts will pop up in this line at some point:  Prince of Darkness and Village of the Damned.

I'm gonna have to double dip on HALLOWEEN II?  I don't even like HALLOWEEN II very much.  Stupid completism.
