Just great news. I can't wait to see what a Cronenberg sequel looks like. I have an idea it won't quite be what any of us expect.

I was not a huge fan of Eastern Promises, but I am still pretty interested in this.  The character of Nikolai was the one really interesting thing about that movie, and having the duality of his existence be the main focus could make for an interesting companion piece to A History of Violence.

I don't recall much about Watts except when she'd get off her motorcycle, but I sure remember a lot about her zany Russian uncle.

Been waiting for this for years! Eastern Promises is one of those rare movies that ends up in such an intriguing place you wish it'd carry on so you can find out what happens next. I actually reckon this has the potential to be better than the original, just by focussing fully on those two characters. It could be like Donnie Brasco only set at the top of the gangster food chain instead of the bottom.
