Falling Skies Season 2: Fall Harder - Page 2

So I'm guessing it basically ends with the 2nd mass striking out on their own because Tom can't be trusted. Or at least that's what I gather from the promo.

I thought for sure Charleston would be a perfect utopia. How wrong I was.

The message of this episode...  Going to the mall sucks.

I still wish this show was better.  I barely watch it, but it's not horrible and gives me something to put on in the background during the week..  I am, however, shocked at the gore this season.  I am surprised TNT is allowing it.

I feel like this and Walking Dead are so similar to each other - a bunch of people just arguing all the damn time.  They pause for an interesting moment, hug it out and move on.

action and special fx cost lots more than interpersonal conflicts and shouting. I think they were doing better this season, and what more would you expect..mindless explosions and chase scenes every week?

Eh, just more than the same kind of conflict every week.  I don't need explosions at all.  BSG is a predictable, but mostly ideal, example I refer to.  There was plenty of conflict and disagreement there, but it rarely felt repetitive.  I just want a little less wheel spinning I guess.  Falling Skies very much feels like a show created on concept only and no plan for execution.

I agree though - it is much better this season.  However, that's like eating plain ol' romaine lettuce after plain ol' iceberg lettuce.  One is a bit better and has a bit more flavor, but I would rather have a little more variety and flavor to my salad.  Basically, it tides me over but I am hungry an hour later.

Oooh...that was a rock solid finale in my mind. Some personal drama, loss of a semi-major character and suddenly, the war has become much, much larger. I'm guessing that orbital gun was meant for keeping...whatever those things are, out of the way. I feel like we're caught up in a much larger interstellar conflict and that last scene guaranteed my coming back next year. I was going to anyways, but with the improvement from season 1 to 2 being what it is, I hope the trend can continue next season.

I'm gonna say, uhhhh ally. No, enemy. Wait, ally. Yeah, ally.

Dai got shafted. If he had to go it should have been in a way more heroic fashion.

Not too thrilled about having to deal with them changing diapers while on the run next season. But at least The Berzerkers are still intact. Thank Christ for that.

The new aliens that arrived kind of reminded me of SPAWN. Maybe it was the coat?

After Dai and his buddy yelled "TICK TICK BOOM" all brah-style, I was ready for one of those characters to die.

Pretty good finale. The show has settled into a decent, TNT-style groove. This is thoroughly average television.
