Wilfred Season 2

Season opener tonight, that was a left turn.  Was surprised to see Steven Weber, shocked to see Robin Williams in what basically was a self-parody.  Wilfred still kills--"we hot-chinaed it."

I realize I may be the only chewer watching this, but the rest of you are missing some surreal TV.

Saw where they were going with Williams' doctor as soon as he appeared, but still an amusing episode.  Looks like we'll be seeing a lot of Ryan's new workplace, judging by the recognizable faces they stocked it with.  That's good, as there's only so much you can focus on the Ryan-Jenna-Wilfred triangle without it becoming very hard to laugh at the nice young lady being stalked by her mentally ill neighbor.

Funniest bit for me was Ryan finding Bear as he cleaned out the basement.  I want Bear to be the first inanimate object nominated for a Supporting Actor Emmy.

Wilfired Season 2 is an australian TV show. Elijah Wood, Jason Gann are my favourite characters. Its a comedy show.. I love it to watch ..........

Its very funny show,................................

Hopefully after this clunky and unfunny transitional episode, the season will be great from here out. I just got more out of picking out the faces. Ah well. Glad to have it back...if for only this one more season since the ratings sucked. It was still way better than a clunky Sunny episode.

We watched--it was more of a 'catch-up' to me than a real start to the season.  And since it was first online, I assumed that's what it would be.  It had some fun parts--"FRISBEE!  FRISBEEEEE!!!!"

Destroying the obstacle course killed me. I was laughing outloud alot. I love the way this show sprinkles in idiosyncratic dog behavior. Wilfred fighting with the tennis ball was hilarious.

See those 2 guys over there?  And the hairless guy throws the ball, and then the other guys chases it?

That bit too! Haha! I forgot about that.

I hope the ratings pick up. It would suck if it got cancelled.

? Anger Management was a factor, but Wilfred's ratings were fantastic last week.  This week will be telling, but thus far the ratings don't really suck at all.  I am not sure the "first" episode counts because no one knew it was on.  Some friends of mine had no idea it was on.  They all thought the first episode was the most recent one.  It doesn't help that FX marketed it as the season premiere.  Probably just as well.  The sneak peek/preview/real premiere was such a strange episode, it may have turned off the dummies that don't get the subtler humor in Wilfred and watch it for the dick, fart and weed jokes.

I like seeing Allison Mack on a regular basis again.

Really shitty ratings this week. I hope it's the Olympics.

This season hasn't been nearly as good as the first in my opinion.  I was actually on the verge of deleting it from my DVR and giving up on it completely, but I enjoyed this last episode quite a bit so it gets a stay of execution.  I'm not quite sure what has changed that I'm enjoying it so much less, but I just have been.

I'm with you A-Pathetic.  I'll go back and watch an episode after a week or two, but I find myself not caring.  Maybe I'm just liking Louie that much more or something.  You know, on the whole, I watch way less TV these days.  I cut almost every USA and TNT show (except Psych).  Just not feeling it as much.

I love the show, but I can totally see a shift and can understand disinterest.  I think it is obvious this show was meant to be a one and done.  The storylines feel thin, contrived and stretched.  I still laugh quite hard at a lot of it, but it does feel awkward.  A lot of the novelty has worn off, so the lack of substance is really apparent.

My problem with the show this season is that, while I'm interested in the characters and what happens to them, I don't laugh much.  The whole "Guy Doing Dog Stuff" gag has worn thin for me and there isn't a lot else on the plate.

I have also come to the conclusion that I tend to enjoy FX comedies the most in their first seasons.  I know this opinion varies all over here, but I think both The League and 'Sunny are strongest in their first seasons.  Louie, for some unexplainable reason, doesn't do anything for me.  And I really don't like Archer, so I can't speak much for them.

Holy crap, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one.  I told my wife, I'm just not interested anymore.  The same thing happened to me with Burn Notice last season.  I don't watch a ton of TV anyway--and most of it are shows I watch with my son (like Destination Truth and Wipeout), so it's hard to watch anything anyway that he can't watch.  And I've also started getting into pulling up series I "missed" on Netflix and then just watch the whole thing.  I got about a season and a half into BSG but had to quit because my internet connection was fuzzing up with my viewing.  Hope to start it up again soon.

I almost gave up Burn Notice last season, but I stuck with it.  This season has been very strong thus far and probably up there with some of the first few.  I would recommend you check it out if you can ever squeeze it in and have nothing else to do.

Yeah, last season was bad for Burn Notice ... spun its wheels, almost became a parody of its own cliches.  This season has been better--a couple of plot points were allowed to develop over time, the actors seem to be enjoying themselves again, things that make it fun to watch again.
