Remember the old high-quality hardstock coloring book of Classic Monsters? It had Chaney's Phantom Of The Opers on the cover? Know who published it? Know what it was truly called? Im looking to satisfy my neurotic curiosity PLEASE HELP! Thanks guys!

I don't know who published it, but now that you mention it, I'm almost sure I had this coloring book when I was a kid...damn, talk about your repressed memories!

I remember having that coloring book way back. It had Tarantula in it, and The Creature From The Black Lagoon. Man, that ruled.

I own the coloring book in question. I'm at work right now, so I can't recall the exact title, but it was something basic like "Monster Coloring Book"... I can get the proper title when I go home. It was published in 1973 by Troubador Press, and was illustrated by Alan Savee. Lon Chaney's Phantom was on the cover (as well as inside), plus luminaries like Frank's monster, the Wolfman, the Fly, King Kong, Godzilla, Dracula, etc. I can also provide a full roster of monsters when I go home. I used to have this as a child, but lost it many years back. A couple of years ago I started itching to have it again (as well as a science fiction coloring book done by the same folks) and I was lucky enough to find one on eBay and another at a used/OOP online book dealer. It's really f*cking cool, and I'm glad I own it again. Good luck in your search!
