My final haul:

Driver: SF
Crusader Kings 2
Galactic Civilizations 2
Dear Esther
Rayman Origins
Payday: The Heist
Far Cry 2
Painkiller: Black
Borderlands GOTY
Max Payne 2
EYE: Divine Cybermancy

Sins of a Solar Empire: Trinity
Thief 2
QUBE (Gifted by mongycore)

So, less than what I bought at Christmas (My first ever Steam sale, so I had an excuse) but still more than what I was planning to buy. These sales are insidious and bloody addictive! Thanks again to mongy and Jacob for their generosity - now I just have to find time to actually play all this stuff...

The final damage for me was:

Final tally for me:

Amnesia: The Dark Descent (Not installed yet)

Borderlands GOTY (Installed and played a bit, no multi yet)

BRINK (part of the Bethesda pack, low priority)

Crusader Kings II (Installed and futzed with some, but not exactly played)

Deus Ex: Human Revolution (Want to do a playthrough of OG Deus Ex before diving in to this one)

Divine Divinity ('Cause I can't get it to run off my discs on my new laptop. An old favorite)

Skyrim (Mainly for the mod workshop feature, which I haven't played with much yet. Have been playing this a fair amount recently, and it looks so much better on my laptop than on the XBOX with much short load screens. I'm basically rolling a Conan style character right now, so basically a guy who shuns magic but isn't above sneaking around a bit.)

Fallout: New Vegas (Neither installed nor played yet, want to see what Mods there are for this one)

Hitman: Blood Money (Neither installed nor played yet)

Hunted: The Demon's Forge (Also part of the Bethesda pack. This one's on low priority unless I hear something awesome about it)

Torchlight (Been playing the SHIT out of this, but I think I might like Diablo 3 a bit better. But still, you get a doggie!)

The Witcher 2 Enhanced (waiting to finally play through Witcher 1 before cracking this one. Tackling these two might come after Torchlight/Skyrim/Borderlands)

Just now joined the CHUD group under the shocking alias of danrandlett. I'd be up for some Borderlands at some point, probably during weekends.

After the sale I walked away with:

Legend of Grimrock

And that's it.

I win right?

No.  You LOSE.

This is the sale where I told myself I'd play every game I bought for at least 10 minutes and not just add it to The Game Bank and never look at it again.

Civ V Gods and Kings (bought a day before the sale on Greenmangaming during their sale, so I'm counting it)

Sniper Elite V2 (same, but on Amazon)

Might and Magic Clash of Heroes (had on 360, but it was like under 4 bucks.  Cool little puzzle game)

Legend of Grimrock (wouldn't be my cup of tea, but I like the developers' attitude.  I enjoyed my 40 minutes of it!)

From Dust (heard PC problems, but for under 4 bucks...?)

Alan Wake Bundle (wanted to play the DLC and then American Nightmare.  First DLC was atrocious, having a hard time going back to it)

Two Worlds 2 Bundle (goofy, janky, fun)

Rochard (thanks, mongy!  Fun, cool little gravity gun puzzler/shooter, starring the voice of Duke Nukem, Jon St. Jonh!)

The Walking Dead (loved the first episode, taking a bit of a break before the next)

QUBE (nice and chill platformer puzzler)

Dear Esther (kinda creepy interactive story thing?  looks amazing.  That Source Engine, son)

Red Faction Guerillia (who doesn't want to be the Space Asshole?  Bought for those times I need to hammer stuff up)

FEAR 3 (beat about half on 360. Solid game, got it for co-op)

Sins Trinity (4xxxxxxxxx!)

Fortune Summoners (charming, gonna hold off until I beat Reccettear)

The Last Remnant (I like the idea of a big war based JRPG, kinda like Suikoden)

Krater (charming and Sweedish as fuck, liked what I played, looking forward to co-op)

Jade Empire (beat on Xbox, probably still have that copy somewheres in my closet)

Ys The Oath in Felghana (very SNES Zelda like)

Risen (Yay, more junky Euro RPGs!)

Weirdly enough, playing Two Worlds 2 and Risen made me go back to Divinity 2, which I bought and never played. It's cool!

Too much money, too many games, but at least I'm never bored and my fiancee understands, if only because it means more games for her to play, too.

Seriously, where do you guys find the time?  I can't even get through a level of Alpha Protocol before my girlfriend wants to watch Dexter.  With that being said:

Alpha Protocol (Gifted by Jacob after my XBOX melted down so I could participate in the discussion.  Thanks for the solid!)

Dear Esther (Also gifted by Jacob)

Bastion (Gifted)

Hitman Blood Money

Just Cause 2

Portal 2

Thant's more game than I can handle for the next few months, not to mention Borderlands 2 and Dawnguard is right around the corner.  Wait, id Dawnguard out for the PC yet?

Didn't go as nuts as some of you, partly because I already had a lot of the offered games.  My haul:

LA Noire Complete Edition

Thief Bundle

Deus Ex: Human Revolution

Galactic Civilizations II

Plus the free stuff Mongy was kind enough to send my way:

Cthulhu Saves the World/Breath of Death VII

Runespell: Overture

Not a big gamer, but I did snag AMNESIA and BORDERLANDS.

I was poking my head in and out of this thread the last few days...  This is a pretty cool place, and it's been fun checking in on what everyone has been doing.  Shortly before the sale started I got a nice new laptop, so I had snagged a few things that don't really count for the sale, such as that recent humble bundle that I added all the steam codes for, and The Witcher, which even at the $9.99 I paid for it seemed like a pretty good deal (but $2.49?!?!  wow!).  and I threw in the Penny Arcade 3 game too.

From the sale, here's where I ended up:

Legend of Grimrock

Portal 2

Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2

Ys Origin

KOTOR

Binding of Isaac pack

Penumbra pack

Runespell: Overture (as gifted by the awesome Mongycore!!!)

Magicka

Dear Esther

Dungeon Siege I, II, II + DLC pack

Fallout 3 GOTY

Universe Sandbox

Left For Dead 2

And I guess it doesn't REALLY count but I got twitchy and snagged Jade Empire yesterday...

And just to continue spreading the good word on Mongycore, he also gifted me Breath of Death VII and Cthulhu Saves the World.  Booya!

So all in all, it was a good sale.  I didn't go overboard and I don't feel (too) dirty.  there was plenty of stuff I would have loved to buy buy buy, but I held myself together pretty well for the most part, though I do feel like I should have just gone with it and picked up STALKER and/or Metro 2033 (preferably AND).  Ah...  the bitter(sweet) taste of regret.

And I joined that Chud Steam group too, and I'm pretty sure I appear as Nanoblech on there (just like on Live and PSN).

Now...  where can I find more time to actually PLAY these things?

Didn't find this worthy of a another thread so as an addendum to the Steam Summer Sale..I wanted to let those here that don't already own it (like myself) know that Borderlands is free to play for the next 3 days on Steam.

You may have just answered your own question there.

Aaaaanyways, I ended up with a few, but the sale came just after I'd gotten my new PS3 and bought a bunch of games and blurays for that, so my funds were limited. I still managed to pick up:

QUBE, Cthulu Saves The World and Breath Of Death VII (thanks mongy)

Monday Night Combat (thanks A-Pathetic)

Star Wars KOTOR

Crusader Kings 2 (and some assorted small dlc extras) - already one of my favourite games of all time - yes, I said it!

Bastion

Psychonauts (thanks darthchocula)

So really I did as well out of gifts as I did for myself, you guys are awesome and next year the love will be returned.

Honestly I think I'll always remember this sale fondly for the fact that I found myself loving all you magnificent bastards more than I already did and discovered a game I'm pretty sure I'll be playing on and off for the next couple of decades.
