September 11th. New single's out, and catchy as all hell. She's also very, very naked in the video.

That's a really good song. Only knowing Amanda Palmer by reputation, I wasn't expecting it to be as catchy as it is. Cool video as well; she must've filmed it about the time I saw Neil Gaiman do a Q&A here in March. I'd heard she was over here as well, so clearly this was part of what she was up to. might have to check out this album.

I chipped in on the Kickstarter for this, mostly because I like Gaiman and Palmer always seemed pretty cool in the bits he'd share about her.  Looking forward to hearing the whole thing.

Her voice is an acquired taste (I love it, but its weird, admittedly), but she does whatever the hell comes into her brain at that particular moment, and it's usually great, if not as focused as her Dresden Dolls stuff.

 

Was very happy to hear that Kickstarter was a success to have her keep doing her thing independently of studio control. The fracas about the studio trying to make Oasis depressing to make it radio-friendly is the worst kind of bullshit.

 

Although, while the subject of rape jokes that are actually hilarious is up.....
