Omg, Batman yelling FUCK YOU to in response to Bane's "die with your city" line would have been the PERFECT beat.  Come on Batman, you were allowed one F bomb!

You know, of all the problems that everyone's been speaking about the past few pages (the Bane/Batman back breaking fight, how does Bane and Co. know it's Bruce, Batman following his ideologies, how does make it back to the city... etc etc) the one thing that still sticks out at me in the entire movie is the amazing surgery that prison guy performs on Bruce's back. I'm considering telling my chiropractor that all he has to do is just slap my back and it'll be fixed.

Well he did spend a lot of time hanging off a rope.

Fixed!

Why do you think Tom Conti disappeared all these years? He was off learning the lost art of Moroccan Spine-Punching.

Don't mind me, just airing some dirty laundry!

Owning 2 (3) of the cds was usually enough to trump anyone in dirty linen poker,  but -fold-,  not today.

Man, hearing 'Fuck' in that voice would have been magical. But I might I suggest it be slipped into the "trigger" rant.

I'd prefer one. I haven't seen Rises yet, but I would have been there opening weekend if they made it out of lego.

Movieline recently asked Nolan about the rumors of JGL and Justice League, to which he replied: "I can't talk about that," Nolan told the site with what they describe as a 'Cheshire smile', "You know that."

"Ah, yesh! I waz wonderingk what would break firsht: your schpirit... or your ZIPPER!"

Means nothing. Nolan knows how to play the game, and he's being good back to WB for all they've given him.

I'm willing to bet it's a softly rebooted Bruce Wayne as Batman. Nolanverse is done.

Damn. That Lady Bane is fit.

Echoes of similar imagery throughout the trilogy: http://imgur.com/a/3EpQo

I never even picked up on the Ra's/Bane hand-resting similarity. If Hardy did that on purpose, he's even more awesome than I thought.

The best one is about Mayor Garcia and windows!

This was an awesome find! Thanks for sharing!

Some of those are reaching. Many are not. For me, these are good arguments against the script being "lazy" and this being done simply as a thank you to WB. Tonally, TDKR is different from either film....but then again, BB and TDK are quite different from each other, too.

Empire's interview with Jonah Nolan. Not really much new, but a good read. The second to last question seems to hint that the Batman appearing in JUSTICE LEAGUE will NOT be a continuation of the version from the Nolanverse.

He also praises Whedon and AVENGERS, in stark contrast to Pfister's remarks.

Ahhhh, see, I think that's nice.

Jon Nolan pussed out.

MOAR FIGHTING!

That Jonah Nolan interview reminds me - After watching "Side by Side" (the digital vs. film Keanu Reeves technothriller documentary), I got the sense that Pfister was just kind of a sanctimonious asshole in general, prone to making grand statements about his view of cinema, and unable to modulate his comments to not seem like a giant prick. Especially compared to Nolan, who made the same arguments, but seemed to be a bit more gracious. Doesn't excuse him, nor would I want to (I cringed through most of his sections in the doc - and when you make James Cameron look down to earth, that's impressive), but I just thought actually seeing him in an interview gave me a bit more context as to those Avengers comments.

Less than a week until I get my delicious Dark Knight boxset. You can bet I’ll be getting my Bat on when the wrapping paper is torn away!

If you know what it is, why is it being wrapped?

I always loved Bane's pronunciation of "league of shadows", so my favorite line is "happy new year, from the league of shadows!"

And I was thinking that this would have been a MUCH better film if it had been divided into a two parter, with part one ending with Bane's plan getting kicked off at the arena and Bruce in the allegorical prison.

I bloody love that line "Members of the leeeague of shadooows"

That line and "nothing but BLINDING" petrifies my groin.

Love the delivery of both those lines!

nooj takes the piss a lot on TDKR, but he's on record for loving (or at least liking) Bane as done in the film.

Ah, yes. I was wondering what would break first: nooj's spirit... or his hate!

Having watched it a second time that scene is definitely the stand out for me.

It's so brutal and physical and ugly. I love the way Bruce roars at Bane, something I'm sure came from Bale.

There's a bit where Bruce calls the League 'psychopaths' and Bane pauses then hammers him with two punches that make me wince. A great sequence in bafflingly average film.

Hardy really really nails some of his lines like you guys have pointed out.  I love it when he goes BIG with them.

Whatever you think of the film, that fight is just incredible. People have railed at the lack of finesse, but I maintain that's completely deliberate and each hit, each verbal exchange, means something. Bale's roaring at him is fantastic - so angry, so desperate, and tragically useless.

My kids are getting this for me for Christmas. It's killing me not being able to watch it!
