I’m not really sure what I’m looking at in this poster for The Master, which is appropriate enough for a contemporary PTA film. There’s something off-putting about it for sure, which is also appropriate, and it’s not difficult to start reading subtext into the image as linked to a film about a man reaching his edge. Perhaps beginning to drown in his own life? Either way, take a look.
