Dexter has been one of my favorite shows for about 5 years now, since I picked up Seasons 1 and 2 at a pawnshop (season 2 was still sealed!) for 5 bucks each. I recently got the much maligned season 6, and have been enjoying it for the most part, and even “the twist” didn’t bother me. I still have 1 episode left to watch (my wife has been watching it with me, and we stopped at the end of episode 11 last night.), but I already know how the season ends, and it was the best way to end it.

Here’s the trailer.

The trailer for Dexter: Season 7 seems to show that they have learned from the “hiccup” that was season 6, and they’re bringing it back to how it should be. It also seems (at least to me) like this is the last season of the show (which it isn’t, there’s still season 8 left to finish up the series.) Lots of bizarre imagery in the trailer, and one bit involving lovable degenerate Masuka that has to be a dream/hallucination. We also get a callback to The Bay Harbor Butcher from season 2, a guy dressed up like a Viking from nightmares, and Dexter actually being UNSETTTLING.
