It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Season 8 - Page 2

Dennis trying to psych up Mac to bang the caddy was so damn creepy and Hilarious. Love how dark they are taking him this season
post #52 of 72

Not as good as the last episode but it definitely had it's moments.  Watching Frank eat peaches is both hypnotic and disgusting at the same time.  It's like being unable to look away from a car wreck.

The fact that the double of Dennis looked SO unlike Dennis (even from behind) made the two Dennis' even funnier than it should have been.

Charlie addressing Mac as the Soiled Fool was outrageously funny, just the way he said it.

...and Dennis' takes one more step down the road to fully becoming Patrick Bateman.

Final episode?  "Dennis Murders the Gang"

I'd be surprised if we didn't find out that he's already been killing people.

Oh, that's a given.  The only suspense will be how weird the crimes are.

As great and dark as last week was I kinda liked this one better. Charlie manipulating Dee and Mac was awesome. Frank eating peaches...British Dennis...so good.

Did anyone else pick up on Charlie insinuating Mac was gay...and Mac not disagreeing?

"The Gang Dines Out"

It was so simple yet but for some reason I was rolling when Mac and Charlie saw each other in the restaurant.

"I licked her asshole a little bit, it was pretty good, it was alright, it wasn't great."

Mac opens the closet door a little wider.

I new it was coming but it was funny each time the kitchen door hit Dennis' wobbly chair.

-now with more gif

This almost seems like this was Sunny's version of Seinfeld's "Chinese Restaurant" episode.  Except with more rimming.

And Jesus, the way Mac's hand lingered after he slipped the waiter that bill.  Creepily fantastic!

The Mac and Charle stare was so great. Loved the way the waiter moved the chair and both Dennis and Frank trying to feel up the hostess.

Too bad the finale is next week, this has been a dynamite season.

I've watched this episode a couple of times now, and I really love it. This whole season has been written with the viewpoint of  "Everybody still watching this gets the characters completely," and it's been wonderful.

I don't know the name of the actor who played the waiter, but he was great. By the end he had future Rickety Cricket potential.

I hope next season we get "Gay Mac".

Gay Mac would be awesome. But he has to be somewhat oblivious to it as he was to being fat "I'm just bulking up".

Mac: "Dennis, I'm just allowing the flare that exists on the inside to exist on the outside. And, yes, sometimes that flare will present itself as body glitter"

Dennis: "How does that explain the Cher music?"

Mac: "It makes me feel jubilant & free. Just like Jesus wants me to be. Are you talking down our Lord & Saviour?"

Mac being a little gay has been a running joke for a long time.  Got me thinking of which running jokes are my favorite..... for Charlie, his illiteracy.  For Dee - bird.  And Dennis being a sociopath.

2 words: Donkey Brains

and I may have to rethink this whole "science" thing....

Mac's anti-evolution argument was fucking epic.

This has to be right up there with the best seasons of the entire run.

Not the best episode, but Dennis's "Oh Sandra... You dumb bitch!" slayed me.

Definitely. It is amazing for a series to wait until its 8th season to actually examine just who their characters are.

Last week, two new eps.  No love/hate comments.

Thought i saw commercials for new eps this week, but they were reruns.

The last of the season 8 episodes aired in late Dec.  All the episodes you've been watching (FX, comedy central?) have been reruns.

No idea when season 9 will start.
