Bruce Willis has this thing where he likes to make a string of bad movies before making one really incredible, oftentimes classic, film. Since he knocked it out of the park with last week’s Looper (my five-star review), it doesn’t bode well for his next few films. Oh look, EW has the first still from A Good Day to Die Hard:

That’s some Lexi Alexander Punisher: War Zone levels of over-lighting right there. Who knew the Kremlin was bathed in sepia tones? The film sees Aussie actor Jai Courtney playing Jack McClane, son of Willis’ John McClane. In speaking to the magazine, Courtney had this to say about the film:

John’s always a fish out of water,” says Courtney, who is also starring opposite Tom Cruise in this fall’s Jack Reacher. “What could be further out of water for him than Russia?” Making things even more complicated, father and son don’t necessarily get along. “The relationship isn’t always functional. These are two guys who have been estranged for some time. John likes to wing it, see what happens. Jack’s more of a strategist.”

I just got goosebumps. What a fun and totally unheard of dynamic that will be –parent and child working out their issues as they save the world. Who knew we’d be getting a Die Hard inspired by Stop or My Mom Will Shoot in 2013?
