Yeah, I don't want to get all mushy but CHUD has been like a second home during the last few years, which have been very weird both professionally and personally.

 

I'm excited to see what's next.  I don't mind Nick talking it up because I have a busy life outside CHUD.  Two boys, One 3.5 and one 3 months old take up most of my free time.  So I don't really  have time to worry about the evolution of CHUD.  I only think of this thread when I check the new posts.

Hasn't CHUD been bought by that Deep Gold company around two, three years back? (edit says one http://www.chud.com/55195/meet-the-new-boss/) So a big decision will probably be either taking it back from them, maybe setting it up with another, better parent company.

 

Hopefully the implications of us getting more of Nunz in 2013 ring right.

It's going to be tonal, global, and empower the community considerably more. And there will be a tweak in the editorial focus. Sadly, no one is buying us. And I have pretty much been carrying the site once again.

I have some things in my professional life very close to reality but regardless of that, I think I know what the evolution of the site needs to be.

Perhaps Nick will be raising revenue for the site by allowing advertisers to edit our messages! CHUD will become like the Digg/Reddit of movie news, where we all submit articles, and upvote the most interesting and relevant to the top of the main page. Which will free up the staff to focus on editorials, reviews on key films and feature articles.

I went through 2 of these when I was a kid.  I melted the front tire on my first one such that I had 2 or 3 flat spots on it; kinda hard to get up to any kind of speed with the constant thunking.  Good memories.
