As you well know comedy fans, Arrested Development is seeing new life with a recently-extended fourth season produced by Netflix, which will debut all at once on the streaming service in the spring. Somewhere between 10 and 15 episodes will hit on an as-yet unknown date, and if they’re any good, TV fans will simultaneously shit themselves and the world lose something in the tens of millions of man hours all at once as people become couch blobs to marathon the season in its entirety.

I can’t wait.

handprint3In any event, promotions are starting up apparently, and there are reports that some users of Netflix’s Instant Watch service can now spot fake films listed among the streaming library, complete with covers, synopses, and other info. Ultimately they link back to the Arrested Development page, but they all reference something for the original show and appear matter-of-factly among various genres.

Tobias Funke, the semi-renowned Freudian analyst/therapist and former chief resident of psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital, provides counseling to families deep in crisis in this deeply probing and emotionally uplifting series.

I’m not yet able to spot any of them on the online interface, but check for yourself and see if this has been rolled out for you. Split-Sider has a rundown of many of them and they’re all great, warm reminders of the brilliant comedy series. Perhaps this means we’ll be getting a release date soon?
