I'm also pleased at the shakeup of the show's format, and it certainly hit the ground running. Every time I think Goggins can't top himself, he comes up with a moment, like his reaction to the guy being "taken care of," that is just genius. I loved the crappy low-rent look of the revival tent-- maybe it's budgetary necessity, but I was pleased they didn't go for the flash and glitz that these settings often employ.

 

Now back to pining for the return of Carla Gugino...

The revival tent reminded me of Carnivale ... which then made me momentarily sad as I still miss that show sometimes.
