Lucasfilm shitcans this year's releases...

Damn, now I'm really happy the Disney deal happened. Attack of the Clones is the worst shit ever and it should not be shown in any format, 3D or otherwise.

That's too bad, I was looking forward to hearing people rage about the 3D antics of Jar Jar Binks .

Well dammit. Everybody knows the best Smits is Smits in three dimensions.

Didn't see TPM in 3D and had no intentions of seeing any of the others. I was never interested in the first place, but it was dumb of Lucasfilm to release TPM3D a few short months after the blu-ray sets. 3D isn't enough of a reason to go see in a theatre, a film you've just paid a huge amount of money to watch at home. I'm willing to bet that if they released the Star Wars blus a year earlier,  TPM3D would've done better.

To be fair, I honestly wouldn't have minded the chance to take my son to see the OT in 3D before the new film comes out in 2015.

Same. My girl was really looking forward to seeing all the films at the cinema, she'll be upset.

Yup, me too. I haven't seen Star Wars or Empire on the big screen since '97, and Jedi since '83 (I never got around to seeing the SE of it in theaters).

Lucasfilm says they're "delayed." If the re-releases actually happen (Episode I'd 3D release made more than Pixar's stuff, after all), I'd expect a six film roll-out in 2014/2015 building up to Episode VII.

I'm slightly disappointed. I went to Episode I 3D and sat next to a kid who'd never seen it before, but lost his mind at some of the stuff on screen. He was probably a Clone Wars fan.

Smits was pretty good in the prequels actually.

Maybe it's because the 3D post-conversions SUCKED and were hardly 3D at all!

Which would've been fine.  Hahahha

I was looking forward to seeing the OT in theaters again. Not the first time I've been disappointed, nor the last.

3D marathons ahoy in the run up to part VII! The Disney coffers are going to rake in most of their billions on one installment alone before we even hit merch cash! Insane.

Smits be damned, all I wanted to see in 3D was... I just.... no.

Give me a 2D marathon anyday of the week! I probably still will not go see it but gimmie gimmie anyway.

I like my Smits in 2D on TV interrupted by the sponsors special messages.

Damn it!  I did go see TPM in 3D on a huge-ass screen, and was looking forward to the rest of them.  I'm one of the few people who weren't butthurt over the prequels.

Not a great loss.  I would have spent the money to see the OT in 3D (The asteroid sequence in TESB would have been amazing) but it certainly wasn't something critical.

Like a few others have said, I would be willing to bet that at the very least the put the original 6 back in theaters in 2D to hype the new film.  I could go for seeing the OT in a theater, never had the pleasure.
