This album is everything to me. Spinning it a lot again lately.

ADVENTURELAND tonite. I've known a lot of cool girls, but Kristen Stewart in her Lou Reed T-Shirt is that dreamgirl i'm still searching for.

Spent late nite hours spinning Neil.

(I can't find a upload of this that cooks, so this'll have to do)

Now this BLAZES!

I was surprised when I read Prince citing him as a bigger influence than Jimi... but I can kind of see it.

The South at its funkiest:

When Duane's soaring guitar kicks in at the end, blending in a beautifullly soulful way with Wicked Pickett's vocals, it's everything rock n roll is about to me. So hopeful, so magical, I literally cry.  It's the promise of New South on wax.

Think this may be my favorite Elton John song. Was quite disappointed when he didn't perform it at the concert I went to earlier this year, but as a 70 year old man, he still has it! Set lasted almost 3 hours!

You got me on a Santana kick so I busted out this killer set by Carlos and Buddy Miles.

Santana and Schon blaze through this.

Every Step of the Way is my preferred track on that album.

Caught the Bob Dylan 30th Anniversay Concert for first time since HS. Some really cool interpretations of Dylan classics.

Eric scorches on this one:

However, Neil was the showstopper.

25 years ago I used to fall asleep to this album.

A lot of snark about the reunion ("only 2 good songs") but I think it's cool.

Chris Cornell's vocals on this are amazing.
