Some pre-experience Hendrix. The drum intro on Flashing is killer. I've read it's either Bernard "Pretty" Purdie or Ray Lucas on the drums.

Definitive version of this classic. Betts is on fire, and the rock n roll piano makes it:

With the death of Rick Parfitt, I've been listening to alot of Status Quo, such a great no bullshit rock band. (April) Spring Summer & Wednesdays has such a great groove.

Rocked out to this driving listening to Underground Garage. A last cool discovery of '16.

Jimmy Page sings and plays all the instruments (except drums)

Jordan Hoffman: "An Absolute Goddamn Triumph! Guitar player with the open pink shirt is a DREAMBOAT and white tanktop girl is a FOX!" "LIVE YOUR LIFE LIKE THE GUITAR SOLO THAT STARTS AT THE 4 MINUTE MARK. BE GARY RICHRATH WHEN YOU CAN AND BE TANKTOP GIRL AT OTHER TIMES TOO!"

A couple of days ago I was listening to the Springsteen channel and they played a blistering live version of "Johnny 99". This isn't it, but comes close to rocking as hard:

Got a boatload of great RUSH albums in the mail today. One of them being the awesome SECTOR 2 box set featuring the 1981 classic PERMANENT WAVES album that has one of the most underrated Rush songs ever on it. It's called "Jacob's Ladder" and it's fantastic.  Don't believe me? Check it out for yourselves!

So damn glad I got see RUSH live in 2011 during their TIME MACHINE tour.  Sadly I missed them on their R40 tour, which is supposedly their last large scale tour. They say they might do smaller scale tours and I hope that's true. In any case they've more than earned a good long rest.
