wydren, Tyler always gives his best...Eifert!  This is no...Hunchback of Notre Dame, just a...Great TE!  Cinci did not...Bungle the pick!

Arturo RJ, Tyler Eifert...Should have been the pick for the...G-Men!

Martianman, Miami has ore...GON for an OLB/DE that will follow Cameron's...Wake, to...Bunch Brady, Ground Sanchez, and Buffalo the...Bills!  Dion Jordan, should be a...Slam Dunk!

Yeah Eifert could of been great but of course the Giants did the safe boring pick which might be good but I kind of got bummed out when Fluker was taken knew anything exciting went up in smoke. Really wanted a defensive player after he got picked would of killed for Rhodes, Ogletree or Sylvester Williams. But Pugh dosent look bad just utterly boring.

Watching the Sport Science clip of Manuel... hm. All I can do as a fan is cross my fingers that he'll put it together.

Look, after years of trying to play it safe, the Bills are being ballsy at least. I can't fault them for that.

Maybe they figure with his speed, he can get downfield and block that pesky last defender for Adrian Peterson.

No kidding, Patterson was a very good blocker. That certainly doesn't hurt. If he can magically give Ponder 30 extra yards of arm strength, then bonus.

Shit, I had forgotten about Drew Brees. So let me revise:

I hate to break it to you Jim, but overdrafting 2nd-round prospects in the mid-1st isn't "ballsy"; it's "dumb."

Solely based on my viewing of Manuel's episode of Gruden's QB Camp, expect a lot of fumbles.

So how many busts do we see?  If history holds, most of them for the money they will get paid.  And how many 20+ pics will play with vitriol and be awesome?  Aaron, Clay, others that aren't on my team...

I find the Bears' pick of Long curious, although they do need OL help. I'm not sure I see any home runs. This is a really anonymous class.

I'm trying not to be pissed about the pick but I hate projects and potential, esp in the first round.  But Bears have a really good Oline coach and he has a good football bloodline.  Guess Kiper had Long going to the Bears 3 weeks ago.

Glad Te'o didn't go in the first.  It's the best thing for him as he isn't first round talent.  Won't have all the pressure like a Tebow.

That's good to hear, I just didn't see TE as a need, so it surprised me.

When the Bills picked EJ Manuel, I cheered since now there is no way in hell the Jaguars can take him.

Ah, there's a man who's probably watched a few games with EJ at QB.

The Jaguars have always been a little Gator-heavy in former Florida college players so I was worried they might try to tip the scales by taking Manuel. Now I just have to worry that they fall in love with the rest of the QBs who, at best, will be average NFL players, rather than biding their time and waiting for 2014 where the draft will literally crap HOF quarterbacks.

Last night I heard several people comparing EJ Manuel to Blaine Gabbert. As a Missouri Tiger and trainwreck fan, that is not a good thing.....

There was a ton of talk about the Bucs possibly moving back into the first round, possibly for Eifert, Floyd, or Werner.  But there's going to be so much value in the 2nd and 3rd rounds, I'm glad we stayed put.

The more I hear about the Bears pick the more I hate it.  I want to give them the benefit of the doubt but I'm super pissed

DAMMIT NO IT'S NOT

...

I would go with desperate, too. Buddy Nix has been talking about drafting a QB for ages. The fanbase here has wanted one since, well, Jim Kelly.

Yeah but Geno Smith was right there! He has all the intangibiles, great arm strength, size, mobility. The only thing he has to work on better decision making and not forcing throws when under pressure. But he is pretty stellar honestly. His stats are pretty impressive definitely more so than Manuel who is a pretty massive project. Guess the Bills feel he will be the next Cam or RG3 but that's a huge leap of faith for a team that hasn't been in the playoffs since Clinton was in office. I don't know I would of went with Smith he is a really good prototypical pocket passer that can make insane throws. The whole spread option I feel is a fad but and watching Manuel I was never impressed with him. I felt he seriously benefited from a team that had an amazing defense but his throws looked pretty ugly at times. Put Geno Smith on FSU and see what would have happened!

All in all, not a bad year to have no first round picks, if that can ever be true. Now if the rest of the league would kindly not take every remaining safety and corner off the board tonight, that'd be great.

Did you watch any of the Pinstripe Bowl? He didn't look good at all. Syracuse made him look extremely ordinary this year and last.

That had to factor into Marrone's thinking (hence why most people assumed Nassib/Barkley if they were drafting QB).

I have to say, I'm pretty pleased with the Cardinals' choice. It could have gone either way, but Arians and Keim keep proving how smart they are. Cooper was a choice out of left field, but the kid can play three positions on the O-line and can run a trap scheme.

Arians has been saying that there was only one missing piece to the offensive line, and they had Cooper selected as soon as the clock started. I'm going to keep trusting them.

I've been following the team for years, and let me tell you, April is always the best time to be a Cardinals fan.

October, not so much.

That said, I like the fact the fact they drafted some O-line help.  This team hasn't selected a offensive lineman in the first round since Leonard Davis in the McGinnis era.  That's troubling to me.

Nice to see the Bears got some protection for Cutler.  And Jesus, how many kids does Howie Long have?  What is he Mormon.

The draft is actually really exciting; it's more than just waiting for dudes' names to be called. There's a huge amount of wheeling and dealing, and all of the teams' administrations are firing on all cylinders (except the Jets), to try and utilize the resources available to shape their team as best they can.

We get to see our favorite teams take shape before every season, and you want to see them make the right choices and pick up the best players just as much as you want to see them score touchdowns in games.

I didn't realize Geno Smith had 32 career fumbles.  That's Dave Krieg territory.  And talk of the Jets maybe trading up for him?  They have no weapons.  They better hope he falls if they take him.

Please Bears, trade down and get a 3rd.

Thank goodness the Charger took Te'o.  Another reason to pick agains the Chargers every week.  Manning will love throwing down the middle against him.

The New York Jets have overtaken the Oakland Raiders in draft dysfunctionality.

From Paul Pabst's (Dan Patrick Show) Twitter feed:

Wayne Chrebet is the best WR Geno will see all year.

Man I don't get all this hate Geno is getting he'll be good, honestly tell me that he's worse than Sanchez, Garrad or Tebow. The Jets offense definitely gotten better with Smith. At least now they have a QB that can throw down the field and I'm sure Jordan Hill and Santonio Holmes are ecstatic with this pick. Now if the Jrts pick a running back next pick I'd say it was great draft for them. The only question mark is Milliner and if he can stay healthy.
At this point, someone is oing to get a steal in Eddie Lacy and he is going to run very, very angry next year.

It isn't anything against him; it's because the Jets have 6 QBs on the roster and they have SOOOOO many holes to fill before the quarterback position.  And it is going to create an even more ridiculous QB controversey.

Yeah I guess I could see that. If I were the Jets is name the QB right now to stop that crap, cause that kind of ruined their season at the start. I'd pick Smith as the starter right now he has all the talent to be a starter and with that D he really dosent have to do much. A big upgrade from his colleges D at WVU.

Oh an cut Tebow no reason to be on the roster anymore.

I'm tempted to start a drinking game based on how many times these idiots mention Manti te'o, but I'd be dead in an hour.

Arturo RJ, Espn has suggested that The Jets might cut...Mark Sanchez!  But not til after...June 1st when the salary cap hit will be less.

yeah cut both they are useless. Keep Garrard as the backup though i think it would be a 12 million cap hit and than 19 million after that, but 8 million just to keep him on the roster. So they might keep him as the backup, but Tebow must go! No point of him to stay.

Sanchez will still be a big cap hit. I'm predicting Geno/Garrard/Sanchez/McElroy, with the other 2 cut.

I wonder what made the Chargers want Te'o so bad that they traded with the Cardinals. I'm certainly jazzed that we picked up Minter, who is a better player and a safer choice than Te'o, but weird logic coming from San Diego.

I understand the reasons for the Tyrann Mathieu draft, but I'm torn. If Peterson can whip him into shape and keep him focused, he'll be a great player. But even then, his persona is going to be divisive. We'll hate to love him, and other teams will love to hate him.

I'm thrilled the Packers got Lacy where they did, and with 10 picks tomorrow they are in good shape to finish up an excellent draft.

This might of been a great pick by the Giants. Give us more depth on the d-line and he has some real good ability just needs to add more weight and could be dangerous. Having Moore and JPP on the same line could be dangerous and if next year Tuck dosent come back he could be a good replacement. As of right now he looks like the replacement for Osi!

Good job G-Men quietly I like this draft so far Hankins will be a good run stopper and Pugh can play any spot on the o-line.

Would of wanted someone more flashy like Shariff Floyd or a lb which honestly we really need but not awful. These picks do make us better though feel we have to be the favorites in the East!
Blah stupid iPhone!

By the way, as a Cowboy hater, I'm loving the utter ineptitude show by the Jones dictatorship.  Jimmy Johnson gave him an unearned amount of confidence and he is destroying that franchise.  With Al Davis gone somebody has to be the worst owner in football.

Arturo RJ, If the Jets cut Sanchez...Today, it would be a...$19 million Cap hit.  The...$12 Million would be if he is cut...After June 1st.  I think that is the...Entire hit on the cap.

Oh I mixed that up oops. Well anyway I would keep him on the roster to not take hit to the cap. And he would be an alright backup just restructure his contract after this year.
Glad to see Lacy going to Packers...Go Packs!

How much money did Matt Barkley lose by not coming out last year?  If he gets to NE at # 5 today I bet he goes there.  wouldn't be surprised to see NE trade up for him.

Arturo RJ, Well, I would guess that the new GM doesn't want Sanchez...At All!  If they cut him this year, it will be the end of an...Error for Jet QB Mark Sanchez.  He will end up on some other team or...Teams as a journeyman back up.
