Egad!!! I want to know more though like what all 4 discs are for. 2 of them are obviously for evil dead 1 and 2, are 3 and 4 for both versions of AOD or is it only 1 particular version of AOD and a supplementary disc full of goodies. I haven't researched this at all so maybe it's common knowledge or something my inquiring deadite-loving mind would like to know.

i think the fourth disk is all supplimental stuff.

Disc One will be Evil Dead, Disc Two will have Evil Dead 2 on it. The third will have Army of Darkness on it, I'm guessing it'll be disc one of the two-disc set. The fourth disc will be all supplementary material including, according to Anchor Bay, "Material exclusive to this U.K. edition".

So it's already short one disc from Army Of Darkness. Within The Woods will not be on it, and I don't see what they can put on the fourth disc that will warrant people buying all three movies again.

I won't be buying it.

Should be getting a copy of this in the office soon.

One thing this will apparently have, I forgot to mention, it'll have the two different aspect ratio versions of THE EVIL DEAD, that is the original 4:3 and the 1.85:1 version (which is on all Anchor Bay versions). Before, the only place AFAIK you could get the 4:3 was the Elite SE. Which one is official? Who knows. They claimed to have directorial help on the Book of the Dead's transfer, but the filmed ratio was 4:3, matted to 1.85 for theatrical presentation. So someone call up Sam Raimi.

I'm so glad. I had to keep myself from buying the original Evil Dead region 1 edition, and I only own a cheap edition of Evil dead 2. I'm gonna get this one ASAP!!

My thoughts exactly. My next DVD purchase in this series will be Evil Dead 4, so that probably means no more purchases for me.

...On the other hand it's true that the Book of the dead edition was a beauty... Mmmmh... what to buy, what to buy?

The Book of the Dead is awesome especially when you put it in the freezer.

That box art looks sweet. Back to the original stuff.

[EDIT]

Although I'm pretty happy with The Evil Dead II Box set I'd get that in a heartbeat. So where's the R1 set?

actually a little before elite version came out anchor bay did release a no features version of evil dead with a full screen version. I have it along with the book of the dead version won't get rid of the first one ever.
