'The Eye' on Stern

Don't know how many Howard Stern fans there are out there...

But did anyone catch his little rap on 'The Eye' just a bit ago?

He said he was reading the review and that the story sounded great. So once he found out it was foriegn, he wanted to look into optioning it for a re-make. Until he found out Tom Cruise already had. Which of course led to some Cruise bashing... and a concept for a haunted penis replacement movie.

Just thought I'd share. Odd to hear Asian horror getting love on the Stern show of all places.

I used to love the Stern show. At one point, about 6 years ago I could get it (although static-ey) from a station in a city about 150 miles away. Then it stopped altogether. I miss it. Morning radio in Raleigh is realy weak. I listen to NPR now. What a change, eh?

NPR is the only way to fly. Interesting and informative.

I'll bet he is. He looks like the fucking Creature from the Black Lagoon.

I'm sure of it myself. He's said so many a time. The sheer amount of time he's spent on the past doing injustice to Bela Legosi's Dracula is proof enough for that.

I just found it cool that he slowed down his comedy show - kinda out of nowhere - to talk about 'The Eye'. Don't know. Maybe my sense of irony was overworking itself Friday morning.

Stern reminds me of a sleaze from some bad Abel Ferrara movie. Hate his guts.

That... was beautiful.

And it does bring up a very good question:

Why has the legend that is Beetlejuice ( Beeta-juice! ) not been further used by the powers that be in horror? Or at least Troma?
