It seems to me he is the most over looked horror icon. Wheather it was on TMC or TNT he made you laugh and brough about some great shlock movies

I met Joe Bob a many years ago when they closed the Rt. 35 Drive-in here in New Jersey.

What a nice guy. He was friendly and great.

Most people look at him as just a goofy host of TBS, or wherever, but I think he deserves legendary status.

Check out the book he wrote years ago that includes snippets of his newspaper column, its a good read.

I used to live for Monstervision back in the day. He always managed to show some good cheesy movies too. And he always had a can of beer.

He just put out a new book, wehrein which he talks about some of cinema's most infamous films, including Deep Throat, Crash, Saw, and Resevoir Dogs.

I can't remember the title, but I'm getting it this weekend.

Also I met him a couple months ago. He was nice, but he didn't seem to want to be at the place he was at. And I couldn't say I blamed him.

Name of Joe Bob's latest book is Profoundly Disturbing. I picked up a copy of it yesterday and so far what I've read is quite good. He writes about the cultural impact of movies like Creature from the Black Lagoon, Curse of Frankenstein, The Wild Bunch, Deep Throat, Blood Feast and others.

Nothing beats Joe Bob on TMC. The movies (and the man) should never have been censored for TNT. I know a lot more people saw him on Monstervision but TMC's Drive-In Theatre was required viewing in my household. Great horror host with fun movies (with T and A and gore left in).

I loved him on both networks, but TMC seemed more his home than TNT.

What I don't understand is why more horror dvds don't get him to do a commentary track. I'd listen to him talk over a movie any day of the week over the actors or producers mumbling along. Not to slam the few commentaries that the people talking actually give a damn.
