So anyone got any Jason marathons planned?
No, but I do plan on having pre-marital sex at a summer camp later on, hopefully followed by a painful and stabby death.

I will be performing one long handstand all day while my girlfriend showers.

Hope this works. I'm terrible at web links.

I'm getting ready to drive out and rent all the movies.. Haven't gotten around to buying them, yet. Please don't hit me.

I'll rent them unless someone has beaten me to it, anyway. And, knowing my luck..

Watching the marathon on TNN today, right in the middle of good ol' #5, guh.

I liked it when the Sci-Fi channel used to run those old 'Friday The 13th The Series' shows every Friday the 13th. That series was like a demonic Antiques Roadshow.

Yeah the series was very spooky. And the TNN marathon's footage of Jason at the marathon run was hilarious when it showed him running in slow-mo at the bottom of the screen during the movies.

We even had a full moon out here for our Friday the 13th.

Yeah I saw a full moon last night too!

Hmm.. I wouldnt mind that Friday the 13th series on DVD..

Unless it already is and I haven't heard about it.

I loved that show.

Smart, scary, and it generally kept its low budget and cheese bits to a minimum..

I'm glad there is a thread for this. I've been watching my nephews for about a week now while my sister is in New York.
I let the younger one go swimming at a friends house for most of the day while the fifteen year old stayed in and we watched the marathon on TNN.

He had never seen them before. About halfway through part three he asks, "So what's the plot?" I say. "He kills people because they're there. It's a revenge thing. It don't get any deeper than that. Oh and he's a mongoloid."
"What's a Mongoloid?"
"Uhh... He's deformed. That's why he's got the mask."

By the end of the night he was laughing his ass off and predicting who was going to die first and who was going to live through the flick.
"See that, he's got the machete, he's gunna get it first." "Does he ever use a chainsaw?"
"Nahh... that would be a rip off."
"A ripoff? Who cares that would be cool."

He totally dug it even if all the good stuff was cut out.
I just wanted to share that little touching moment with the rest of you.

Also I loved the breaks with Jason running a marathon with his machete in the air. With numbers on his chest no less.
And the bit with the water was great. One person grabs a glass of water and keeps running, the next grabs it and splashes his face. Jason runs up and cuts off the hand offering him water.

The scariest thing is how bad TNN cut the movies...

But I suppose that is to be expected.

A while back, when I was still in college and worked for a video store, we did a Friday marathon one Friday the 13th. I found an old piece of wood, and spray painted "Camp Crystal Lake" nice and neat on the board, then took red spray paint and painted over "Crystal Lake" with "BLOOD" and we hung that on the front of the dorm where we had the party. I couldn't get all the movies (there were only 5-6 out by then, I think), but we watched 1,2, & 4, and had a pool going on how many kills Jason had. The winner got about $30. We had a tally board with a bunch of stick figures on it, and every time someone died, we'd draw a red circle with a line through it over a stick figure. Lots of drunken college fun.
