What makes this even more stupid is that he openly blamed W's foreign policy (rightfully) for 9/11 during the primaries. But I guess then his supporters just wanted to hate "low-energy" Jeb and now they want to hate "Crooked Hillary". It doesn't matter if they lapped up two contradictory (and one plainly false) explanations for 9/11.

This headline over at Huffington made me chuckle...

I laughed at that too, mainly because my brain immediately read it in the voice of Mr. Lu Kim from South Park.

I suddenly have a case of the giggles, imagining Trump watching the speech at the DNC...and LITERALLY YELLING "KHAANNNNNNN"!

Someone took pictures of Trump and put Jenna Maroney quotes on top of them. My personal favorite is a pic of him and Ted Cruz that says "You look like that flashcard they told me means sadness."

From Nate Silver's 538:

Chance of Winning:

Hillary Clinton: 78.4%

Donald Trump: 21.6%

Is that still within the margin of error?

The even more fun page is 538's Election Forecast (Now)

http://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2016-election-forecast/#now

Which, as of its most recent update 47 minutes ago, has Clinton 91.7%, Drumpf 8.3%

May his odds ever dwindle.

MSNBC now reporting that Pence is refusing to endorse McCain and Ayotte.

I can't even follow all the different debris-trajectories at this point.

I thought you were about to say Pence is refusing to endorse Trump there for a second. Honestly, nothing would surprise me at this point.

How long before Trump properties start getting vandalized?  Surprised it hasn't happened already.

I think Trump's managing has done that already

McCain probably wants to time travel back to '08 right now and prevent himself from introducing the Patient Zero version of the modern day GOP to the country.

No kidding.  Wow.

I don't think anyone saw this happening so quickly.

For a large chunk of the public, his brand name is garbage now.  Any buried or obscure racist/misogynistic horseshit that was always there is fully out in the public record, with more refuse being thrown onto it on a daily basis.  And his core base also overlaps with the group most unlikely to afford his faux-swanky hotels. (No economic judgement, I couldn't afford those either)

Wow. A whole bunch of Trump-protesters just whipped out those pocket-sized U.S. Constitution booklets at Trump's rally in Portland, Maine a few moments ago, and started waving them around and chanting.

Speaking of which, why the fuck is Trump even campaigning in Maine, anyway? It's not a state he's gonna carry in November, and by all reports he needs to be covering every inch of ground in actual battleground states (Florida, Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania) that he possibly can right now. He's got way, way bigger electoral-fish to fry than Maine.

The heart wants what it wants, Leto.

It's too hot and humid right now in the states where Trump actually has a snowball's chance. You don't want the man's orange Easter egg dye to run off, do you? That might embarrass the candidate.

LOL, Trump getting heckled like crazy at the rally right now. He doesn't look thrilled.

I think McCain is enjoying this actually.  He might be waiting for Trump's polling to go up before he rescinds his endorsement.  He's 79 years old and has plenty of other shit he could be doing if he lost his job.  Everybody calls him a RINO anyway.

It's occurred to me that since Trump started feuding with Ryan, that's the end of the HC witch hunt on Capitol Hill.  No more hearings, no more press releases from Ryan or Tom Cotton.  Nothing.  Just Trump with his fly open talking about "Crooked Hillary".  That's the thing about his polling going to shit - Trump has none of the leverage he had on the GOP a week ago, and he will be eaten alive once an elected GOP member makes the first move.  Part of me thinks I've wasted a lot of time this summer on Trump, but I'm realizing this is a once in a lifetime type thing, and I should just enjoy it.

Where are you watching this?  I want to soak it in myself.

Trump pushing his stupid "Iran video"-nonsense again right now.

I went on an OKC date when I was on a business trip in Chicago, and the gal was going to "show me around." She took me to Trump Tower. I wanted to leave the whole entire time.

Mike Sixpence none the richer just said that they literally want to turn back the clock to 7 and a half years ago.

These people should have died in the past where they belong.

It turns out the data is fairly clear: Since Donald Trump announced his candidacy in June 2015, foot traffic to Trump-branded hotels, casinos and golf courses in the U.S. has been down. Since spring, it’s fallen more.In July, Trump properties’ share of visits fell 14% year over year, for instance.

McCain doesn't have anything else but being in Congress....it's all he knows how to do. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised that if he were to lose his re-election bid, he'd be dead not long after.

He's like one of those guys that works his whole life and then is forced to retire and dies the following week.

To be fair, Congress is on it's summer vacation right now....not that a lot would be getting done if they were there.

Can we say Trump is barely keeping his head above water at this point? I don't want to get too upbeat about all this but it's hard not to be.

Treasure every day we have left with these two. Cause regardless of what happens this November, its going to be a long while before we get a 1 2 punch in the White House that compares to these guys.

I work right by that building.  I avoid eye contact with it and pretend it isn't there...

So many other places to go in Chicago and for me to feel out of place, and she chose that dump.

Vox rounds up today's polls, which are devastating for the Republicans not just in the Presidential race but in the Senate (aside from FL, where the Democratic primary isn't finished yet):

http://www.vox.com/2016/8/4/12374000/trump-clinton-polls-today

Man, I hope the final result resembles that McClatchy/Marist poll. Clinton winning by 15% would probably not just win the Senate but the House too, even with gerrymandering.
