"Identity"

I don't think there's any discussion on this film yet (I discovered this from a CHUD Trailers Link). I'm actually pretty interested in this because it's directed/co-written by James Mangold who wrote and directed two completely character-driven films that I enjoyed: Heavy and Copland (I haven't seen Girl, Interrupted though -- though I hear that Angelina Jolie bared her breasts her (or is that Gia?).

Anyway, this is the first time he's actually done "horror" and I have a feeling that this might be a good film. I mean, I always wished that horror movies focused more on characters and Mangold just might hit it off with this one.

But then again, it is an ensemble piece so we might end up seeing caricatures. But, who knows?

It's good to see Alfred Molina again.

Great cast and a good director/writer. I hadn't heard anything about this film, but it looks pretty good.

The cast alone makes the movie almost worth seeing, but knowing that it was written by the man that brought us BOTH 'Jack Frost' movies has me sold.

Gia does indeed contain a Jolie-good show. i can't speak for "Girl..." as i never made it all the way through it. she also flashes some nip in Pushing Tin.

did Molina disappear or something? he was in Chocolat and Frida, and supposedly had a recent TV sitcom that no one watched. he's been around quite a while though. "Throw me the idol, I throw you the whip!"

Identity (formerly called "I.D.") looks pretty interesting, although i think the trailer appears to have a "tell" that may ruin a certain element of surprise. anything from the writer of the Jack Frost movies deserves a look. nice to see a low-budget horror flick writer get a "breakthrough" project.

another guy in this is John Hawkes, who's one of those actors who, whenever you see him, you say "Oh, it's THAT guy!". he was one of the non-Clooney fishermen in Perfect Storm, and played the liquor store employee in From Dusk Till Dawn. given the company he's keeping in Identity, i expect he'll be picked off fairly early...
