Lord. I could barely get through this thing. Numenorean (now La-La Land Records) rocks the casbah and they've got a lot of crazy shit coming up (I did a two-part article on their upcoming slate for SciFi.com not long ago), but goddamn if "Night of the Living Dead" wasn't a godawful album.

100% agree. I haven't heard the music by itself, but I always thought it torpedoed the film. It sounds cheap and cheesy at every point, and I blame the music in large part for the movie being ineffective.

I felt bad trashing a release by an indie label who seems to specialize in Romero-related material. Sorry guys. I would love to see them do something with Creepshow, maybe work the library tracks into a disc with Harrison's score. But McCollough's NOTLD score is just so amateur-hour and cheesy that it's practically an insult to film music fans. "You call this a 'film score'?"

Now that I've (finally) gotten that review out of my system I can go to Amoeba and trade that disc in. Lord knows I won't get my full $20 back. You think Numenorean (or La-La Land) would send me cash?
