The final product, after Stan Winston's design was dumped in favor of a more "human" design -

One ugly biatch.

And <a href="http://www.movie-fever.com/gallery/album09/EmmaHeadshot?full=1" target="_blank">Emma Caulfield</a>

Edit: Sorry about that.

Wow. It's Freddy Krueger with boobs.

That is one ugly bitch, I still like the original design better though.

What was the original design?

Go <a href="http://www.spawn.com/features/mm5/toothfairy.html" target="_blank">here</a>, Brian.

McFarlane did a figure of the original design.

Here it is:

Yeah, I feel bad for the half-dozen or so sites that thought they had the exclusive "first look" at the new Tooth Fairy yesterday, because it was all over the place, and it was the exact same pictures used in last month's Fangoria.

Not exactly a first look, is it?

Agreed, she looks like ass now. I never thought I'd say that about a Stan Winston design, but the original was far cooler.

An ENORMOUS disappointment that I've bitched about before. I recently chatted with the assistant director on the re-shoots and listened to his shock when he saw the original Tooth Fairy designed sitting on the shelf at Tower.

Since he worked on the crew with the new design, he mentioned something about the Winston Fairy wearing some sort of porcelain mask or something. Perhaps we're not being allowed to see something in these pics.

Anyhow, Winston's design is ass.

I'LL WRITE a goddamn movie for Steven Wang's creature if it's just going to sit in his damn workshop.

Guys, seriously, I don't think there's going to be an enormous rush on a toy the general buying public (or hell, horror fans) know little history about. I saw a shitload of "Tooth Fairy" figures (both variations) at Tower the other day. If you're gonna buy it - buy it 'cause you love the toy.

I just got it off ebay for like 9 bucks (the average was about 14 bucks) and it will be worth something to geeks like us in a year or two. Oh well...something else cool to hang up on the wall.
I bought both versions when series 5 hit the streets. I too, like the original better. Even if nobody ever uses the original I still have a place on my wall for the both of them.
There's a Tower just down the street from me that has a ton of them. Interestingly enough, the box says its from the film, "The Tooth Fairy."

The new one looks like a really old lady with a skin condition. The first one rocked. I am really skeptical about this movie. It has an awesome looking trailer but there is just something telling me to beware.
I like both designs actually. I think that Steve Wang's was much more creative, though. I guess a lot will have to do with the context of the movie, as to which design fits the best.

I was wondering when Bill was going to give his opinion.

As far as I go, I don't think the new version looks all that bad. Sure, it does look a lot like Ms. Freddy Krueger, and the original design was a lot cooler and more imaginative, but oh well. I'm gonna go see this movie with an open mind, and hope for the best.

That films gone through so many changes I have no idea what to expect. Countless name changes, a complete creature design switchup. I read how they have replaced the older creature with new footage and just sounds like it will come off awkward. Don't have high hopes for this one. I think we are going to be left with the same feeling They gave us.

Look above at Samurai X's post. Both figures are shown.

By the way, all the stores around me seem to have the Tooth Fairy and Wishmaster Djin in spades.

I hope to be around a little more soon, I've just been on set a lot lately.

much prefer the original design, which looked a bit more inventive than this basic thingy, which looks exactly like the Hag from Sleepy Hollow.
