Does he just make fart sounds?

There was a writer?

"So here's Canon cutting corners in this scene"

"This plot makes no fucking sense"

*drinks*

*Lacy floats out in space alive*

"Get to fuck!"

From what I understand, the budget for QFP was cut drastically because Cannon was going bankrupt at the time. So it went from $30 million to like $15 million. So the script (and everything else) suffered.

Also the fact they use the same shot of him flying towards the screen with revolving backgrounds.

For it to get cut from THAT movie it must be bad, and yeah, it is awful.

Any fans of Cannon Films doc Electric Buggaloo in here? They delve briefly into Quest for Peace.

I guess they could afford to cut all of that shit since Burger King, Amex, and whoever owns Yoo-Hoo paid for it all.

Quest for Peace would've been dope if Superman was like, "I'm going to rid the world of all nuclear weapons," and the world was like, "Nah," and Superman was like, "Stop me."

They explain how when they were producing it nearly back to back with Masters of the Universe that they were gunning on Superman IVs success to give them the budget for Masters, which it didn't.

Which I am assuming was the main factor for having it take place on Earth...in Los Angeles...a few blocks from the studio.

From what I've read WB provided Cannon $30M to use for the budget, but at the last minute Cannon decided to only use a quarter of it and spread the rest to other film projects.

It surprises me that they went out of business.

I would say that Snyder's Superman is probably your guy, but then I remember that Snyderman doesn't give a fuck about people and probably wishes we'd all die in a nuclear fire so he could fuck Lois Lane atop our ashes.

Masters of the Universe looks (and is) about a hyperbo-illion times better than Superman IV..

Frank Langella is committed.

We already got that in SUPERMAN III.

Snyder's Superman is conflicted, guys. You guys said you don't like boy scout Superman, so Snyder gave you what he thought you wanted and you didn't want that either.

Come on, you guys.

Nobody said they don't like boy scout Superman.  Nobody said that!

Captain America is one of the most popular franchises today!

I love boy scout Superman. What I don't love is watching him face-off against the same two characters on screen over and over again whilst lifting exponentially heavier shit.

Cap is a better Superman than Baldy McSnyder
post #2619 of 2624
At any rate, we need Brainiac to be the villain in a movie.

Kind of strange that All Star Superman hasn't been made into a movie yet.

All Star Superman is a perfect book.

I'm just thinking with the obsession with loosely adapting books, you would think that one would be more revered.  I guess it lacks the COOOOOOOOL SEXXXXXXXY DAAAAAAARK factor.

Yeah but Cap is so fucking cool. He threw a guy through a propeller engine! Tell me when Superman graduates to that kind of Carnage(directly).
