Well, you didn't hear it from me, but if you are a fan of Cordy aka Charisma Carpenter, then look for a film called Bound, in which she is wearing no clothes. Often wearing no clothes.

I have seen it and trust me it's the only reason to see that movie.

There are 10-20 minutes of that movie worth watching.  Skip the rest.  Maybe we should post the "good parts" here.  For science.

So say we all?

Yes, you are correct.

Keep it in the Sex Forum.

Also, there's no way I'll believe that Waaaalt actually watched whatever movie you guys are talking about. The internet makes all of that shit readily available in the pertinent clips.

The first episode of Buffy I watched was Phases. It was good, although I would soon see much better episodes, so I tuned in again next week. That was the one where Xander had Amy cast a love spell on Cordy and it didn't work out as planned; that was the moment I was hooked on the show. To this day I haven't seen an episode of TV I liked as much as the finale of season 2.

As for Whedon and fatigue goes, hopefully he talks with the executives at DC/WB and they avoid what happened on AOU.

I didn't forget her.  I said "amongst others."

I just don't like to inundate the CHUD message boards with a bunch of photos of chicks.  I like to keep the place classy, you know?

Here's a cover package for Bound:

If it's got Terrell Owens in it, it must be....something.

Alyson Hannigan was way too vital to the show to be an "amongst others." Whoever played Kennedy, now she is an amongst others.

Very true but the truth is I find these knock off movies hilarious. Like I watched transmorphers. So when I came across this I didn't actually think she would be nude in a straight to video knock off so I was curious how the hell they would pull it off. Turns out I was wrong.

Until you posted the cover, I thought we were talking about the great Wachowskis movie of the same name and was getting ready to cyber-punch you.  I did briefly wonder why I couldn't remember her being in the superior Bound but, hey, I only woke up ten minutes ago and my brain is busy at war with the coffee I'm drinking.

I almost can't believe how attractive Charisma Carpenter is watching Buffy repeats.  It's not even fair.

Only last week I noticed how one of our local TV channels has started to air Bound: the Daniel Baldwin masterpiece every single week. And I thought to myself who would watch that even once, and where might I find this individual? What a wonderful world we live in.

Reminds me of a cover story Carpenter did for a Christian magazine back in the 90s, all about how she was able to maintain her faith while rising among the ranks of the sinful.

Wonder what they'd make of this.

I had a Playboy with Charisma Carpenter circa 2003.

For the articles.

Creepy.

The funny thing is that I can actually imagine Bart being that one guy who buys Playboy for the articles.

One of the few I've kept throughout the years.  That red cover brings back memories.

Great articles.

No, I still ask Jeeves.

At this point Jeeves should be asking us..

Fun fact: Ask Jeeves licenses search traffic from Google. So if you use that engine (which no one does), you're basically getting Google results.

Didn't Jeeves get fired?

It's just Ask.com now.

No but once a year we do gather and fight Bing users Green Street Hooligans style.

All right, so the original DCEU slate had Flash and Aquaman in 2018, Shazam and Justice League 2 in 2019, and Cyborg and Green Lantern Corps. in 2020.

Now it looks like there's no way for anything else but Aquaman to come out next year. Maybe The Batman, when it was supposed to be written and directed by Affleck and feature Deathstroke, would have made it into 2018 but it'll be lucky if it makes it into 2019, a space that still includes Shazam but now Wonder Woman 2 instead of Justice League 2.

So this insanely puts Aquaman of all things in a unique position for two reasons: it's the first DCEU to be made from scratch after the backlash against BvS and Suicide Squad, and it's essentially the start of DC's Phase 2, if we're going by Marvel rules.

I'm interested to see if WB/DC take this opportunity to utilize Aquaman as a mission statement of sorts going forward. I'm aware that Wonder Woman seemingly survived the 2016-2017 shitstorm that is WB panicking and retooling their products, but that almost feels like a fluke considering how they're still tweaking Justice League. Hopefully James Wan takes WW as some inspiration in terms of tone, and WB keeps their hands off.

Based purely on the trailers, I have a feeling that everyone will be talking about Flash and Aquaman after Justice League opens.  If the movie is as good as the trailers suggest (and we must pray to the Great Whedon that it is), then Aquaman should have a ton of goodwill going into his solo movie.

Yeah, the casting of Jason Momoa, the good will toward his metal god take on the character, and James Wan riding high on Insidious, Conjuring and Furious 7, amazingly makes Aquaman a thing to look forward to. I never would've thought that a possibility just a few years ago.

And yeah, Flash is going to be embraced by the Tumblr crowd HARD. I hope they lean into Miller's sexuality and make Barry gay. It'd be a good way to set him apart from the TV show variant (a show that may very well be over by the time Flash Point comes out in, let's be generous and say 2020), and it'd make him the first major onscreen gay superhero, I believe.

The casting of Jason Momoa???

Terrible.

Terribl...y great.

Badass

Funny

Sexy as fuck

"Metal God" is a generous take on Conan The Aquaman.  I prefer Evan Saathoff's "Cool Gym Teacher" descriptor.

He seems like a combination of the gruff spear-hand Aquaman seen in Peter David's solo series and Grant Morrison's JLA in the '90s and the jolly swashbuckler from Brave and the Bold. If that's a cool gym teacher, I'm down with it.

Evan's articles often read like they were written by a cool gym teacher. I can't wait for what names he gives to the rest of the team!

Gym must mean something else overseas.

I can't wait to love Justice League not in spite of but because of its warts, to the bafflement of all.

All exept Sax and Fraid and MichaelM, although MM will act lukewarm on it while secretly rewatching it every few months.

A new ugly stepchild to champion!

Nah. I think the 1-2 punch of WW opening up people to the potentiality of DC movies being good, while expectations are still softened up by BvS as the immediate lead-in, has set up JL to succeed.  It will get a positive reception as long as it is at least mediocre.

What if I want it to be bad so it can be my precious?
