NHL 2014-15 Season - Page 3

On one hand, fuck the Hawks and their shitty fans.

On the other hand, seeing the team that whiner Kesler got traded to choking like Jabba the Hutt in JEDI gives me a perverse kind of glee.

Hopefully the team explodes in the offseason and goes straight to the bottom for another 30 years.

Since the Hawks couldn't take the dirtiest team in the league out(Canucks) it's nice to stop Kessler from getting a shot at the Cup.

Was it me or were there about 45-50% Hawks fans in the building?

And I didn't forget.

Mostly bandwagon fans and the Canucks are the "dirtiest" team? You are so full of shit.

A plane crash in Andes couldn't happen to a more deserving team.

See you in October,

Fett is such a hilariously bitter hater he makes Anya look like Drake.
Oh well. Here's to the next season.

Hawks and Lightning. I have no vested interest in this Stanley Cup Final... I guess I'll root for Antoine Vermette.

Im rooting for the Lightning by default.  I hate the Blackhawks, yet I do respect how they've made it to the finals three times in six years.  I can't take that away from them.

Well, my boy Vermette scored a goal.

BUT HE COULDN'T DO THAT FOR PHOENIX.

Here's the thing, I HATE that the Canucks are making Brian Burke's terrible Flames team look good right now.  I'd rather the Sedin's actually showed up and taught that idiot a lesson.  Instead, people go on believing that he put together a good roster, when the truth is that they're having a lucky season and were saved by Jonas Hiller falling in their lap.  They're abysmal in corsi and fenwick, but are saved by a really good goalie.  Get shit together, Canucks.

A little late to the party, but Guttenberg is back!

A bad goal given up by Crawford and a worse 2nd penalty in a row by Sharpe .  Wonder why Bishop left?  Maybe he had the shits.

That was some sweet passing that lead to the goal.

And they tie.  fuck.

The last three games I've watched, the Lightning have lost.

The last four games I have not watched, the Lightning have won.

You're welcome, Tampa.

You stay the hell away from any TV's then.

Ugh, Chicago.

Root against the Hawks all you want but trying to clown this team is pathetic. Might as well try to clown the Giants or the Cards in baseball. Just organizations that have built a solid core and, win or lose, are always competing. I'm the very definition of a casual fan of the team but it is a pleasure to watch them play.

That 3rd quarter was bonkers.  Better than constant fouls and time outs in basketball.

I'd forgotten Vaughn was a fan of this team. How appropriate.

You got Jason Reitman so I wouldn't throw stones on celebrity fans.

Blackhawks have Michelle Pfiefer.

A guy from Chicago is a fan of a Chicago team??  Holy shit!

Maybe Matthew Vaughn?

Speaking of Brits...

Even Sansa is backing the Blackhawks? *sigh*

Isn't the dude behind her a little old to be shopping at Hot Topic?

Anyway, the City of Glendale held a meeting last night to discuss the lease the Arizona Coyotes have on their arena. The meeting was akin to a townhall meeting in Pawnee, with one woman taking the opportunity to speak out about Russians, smoke shops and murderers -- completely unrelated to hockey, and utterly batshit. Confirms my belief that the whole city of Glendale is full of idiots.

So yeah, they voted to break the lease contract with the team. Now a city in unfortunate financial standings because of how poorly it's run will likely find itself sued to hell and back. All because they initially allowed themselves to be swindled by a guy who owned the land and the construction company who built the arena, took them for a ride and then split. Anyone with half a brain knew how that deal was going to turn out.

The sooner they relocate to a Canadian city the better.

I will fight you with the strength of 'Murica.

Wouldn't they go to Vegas first?  I know Vancouver was talking about a 2nd team but they should be satisfied with their one crappy team.

And big ups for Coach Q playing Kimmo Timonen.  They guy is way too slow to play against the Lightning and only played just under 6 minutes but you need 41 regular season games or 1 Cup game to get your name on the Cup and Kimmo has never won one.  Classy move and it almost got him a goal-damn post.

The Co-Owner/CEO is on a fucking mission right now, so I don't think it's his goal to take the team out of Arizona. If anything, I see the team sharing space with the Phoenix Suns -- which would be excellent. Less strain to sell tickets to cover costs, and a MUCH more centrally-located venue to entice more people to see games.

HAW HAW It's only funny because you're wrong as usual.

It be real funny if the game ends 1-0 with that error being the deciding factor.

Can we have Vermette back? We'll give you back your draft pick. And we'll throw in Mike Smith for free.

Hawks won't be able to afford him when the season is over so you can have him then.  Vermette has been exactly what they needed.  Great trade.

Now I only have one more chance to drink on a work night and have it be socially acceptable. Go Warriors!

NHL should be ashamed for not having the Cup there on time.

2016 Stanley Cup Odds

The Blackhawks are the odds on favorites to win next year's Stanley Cup, according to the Westgate SuperBook.

Blackhawks 6/1 Blue Jackets 30/1
Rangers 8/1 Senators 40/1
Ducks 8/1 Flames 40/1
Lightning 10/1 Canucks 50/1
Kings 10/1 Oilers 60/1
Wild 12/1 Sharks 60/1
Predators 12/1 Stars 80/1
Penguins 12/1 Panthers 80/1
Blues 12/1 Avalanche 80/1
Capitals 16/1 Flyers 100/1
Canadiens 16/1 Devils 100/1
Bruins 16/1 Maple Leafs 100/1
Jets 20/1 Hurricanes 100/1
Islanders 20/1 Sabres 200/1
Red Wings 30/1 Coyotes 200/1

Well D.T., gonna be a long season for Coyotes again.

Why does that NBC sports guy keep on saying the Lightning outplayed the Hawks in the first 4 games?  The stats don't show that at all.

First, we have to survive the off-season. One step at a time.

Vermey was the third guy up to touch the Lord Stanley. Sigh.
