Boy it's a good thing he want to destroy the world. Imagine if your name was apocalypse and you just worked at a 7/11?

That obnoxious X-Men Apocalypse related underwear add that plays before seemingly every video on YouTube for the last few days has just about led me to my breaking point. What a dumb ass thing to tie in with a movie anyway....like anybody gives a fuck. People in 1983 didn't even wear underwear like that if I recall correctly so how could that product placement even make it into the movie (please....don't let it have)? Well...I guess the X-MEN could have *rolls eyes*

If you're one of the lucky ones who hasn't seen this, do yourself a favor and don't seek it out for the love of god..

Fraid, you know what happens straight after you tell someone "Don't look down!"?

That was actually kinda the result I was looking for.....others talking shit about that dumb thing would bring me Freeman levels of obnoxious joy.

Reverse psychology and all.

Out of everything, that stupid ad has come the closest to turning me totally off this movie..

There's a tie in with Sky broadband over here.

The advert shows Quicksilver trying to woo a girl whizzing round the room and setting up a romantic meal. It's set to "Come and Get Your Love." which everyone on the planet now associates with Guardians of the Galaxy.

BUT MOST OFFENSIVE... is that he bounces Cyclops' optic blast off a mirror and uses it to light a candle. It's concussive! It wouldn't bounce off a mirror and it wouldn't light a candle it would annihilate them.

Fucking Rupert Murdoch, that decrepit old fuck.

I wonder why Fox has lifted the embargo and is now aggressively promoting the movie soon after Civil War's release. Is it because they're trying to shift the attention away from the Captain America movie?

I think that's the overall strategy here.

Fuck it. They should just give Quicksilver his own movie. Everyone seems to like Evan Peters in the role and his line in the trailer is the only thing which put a smile on my face.

The issue with that is how OP he is. Within the time it takes a bullet to travel ten feet he manages to take out a room full of guards. It all happens in a blink of an eye.

Have all of the bad guys played by Stan Lee. The audience knows nothing bad can happen to Stan Lee, thereby creating the necessary tension!

I think the bigger issue is that it would be like the most expensive movie of all time.

You gotta spend money to make money, baby!

Inarritu should make a Quicksilver movie with this same actor...

...an entire movie from his POV... an entire movie in super slow-motion!

Because that's what Inarritu does, right?  ALL THE WAY!!!

I would not see that movie, Nooj.

Consider your Hollywood career cancelled on the basis of this terrible movie idea. You'll never work in this town again, buddy!

“Fassbender and McAvoy and I were all talking,” Lawrence told the magazine. “Like, ‘Will you come back?’ ‘I dunno.’ ‘I’ll come back, if you come back.’ Fox should be terrified because the deal we made was like if one of us doesn’t come back, none of us are.” This seems to imply it’s entirely out of her hands, and that if Fassbender and McAvoy both sign on for another, Lawrence will be helplessly pulled, Star Trek transporter-style, back into the mutant universe.

Not that she has any real desire to go back. Regarding the full-body blue makeup job required to play Mystique, Lawrence says, “You go in and you realize you’re rock bottom and like this sucks and it could not suck more,” which sounds pretty accurate and also like the equivalent of contracting Zika. But what sucks more than blue body paint is consistency of opinion, it seems. “I would love to come back,” says Lawrence, charmingly contradicting her earlier statement. “I love the fans and I love the character. But then you realize how important your year is, like how important three months out of your year is. I don’t know. I shouldn’t be that honest.” See? She couldn’t love the movies or the fans any more, except for the possibility of doing literally anything else but that for three months out of the year. That, she loves even more.

Do we really believe either Fassbender or Lawrence are going to come back?

No fucking way.

The film does a good enough job of setting other characters up so that both Lawrence and Fassbender become "optional" for further stories. Meaning, there are other avenues to explore with other characters that don't particularly require their presence, should they leave now.

I liked Magneto in this film a lot, but I don't want to see him again unless he takes over as headmaster in a NEW MUTANTS film.
