Umm I guess my joke wasn't super clear but I wasn't exactly trying to call her ugly. I mean most people are going to have the same preference but I was actually commenting on how quickly the internet was going was going to jump on it and they DID and then Kevin Smith had to go write a long post defending her. Which is dumb because of course people are going to keep doing it, even more now that they know he is reading it and it pisses him off. Also it's the internet, all of people's true thoughts and feelings at the speed of light while being completely anonymous.

I did like in the bar scene when a bit of the Doctor in Harley seeps out and she drops some diagnosis on what's wrong with some of them. It's very brief but it worked.

I think a bit of the doctor is present in her domestic fantasy scene as well. As I mentioned, it's about her fixing a broken man, but is also about some women wanting a "bad boy", but eventually taming him. I suppose some people might view that as sexist, but it's not like that "phenomenon" doesn't exist across genders.

I just wanted to save this quote from you, for posterity. I feel like it might be useful someday.

Ohh that's a big one. I do tend to see it more with women honestly. With men it tends to take the form of "im going to save this girl from her life"!

Fuck, I didn't realize this was the pre-release.

I probably saw this.

I for one loved it.

Our Lord and Master Jai Courtney has decreed it so.

Oh, dude, I'm 95% sure I saw Jai Courtney in person the other day. But it might've been someone who just looked like him.
My stories are uniformly terrible.

Do you think Tom Hardy would assault anyone who walked up to him and said "May I have your autograph, Mr. Courtney?" ?

Conversely, do you think Jai Courtney would burst into tears if someone walked up to him and said "I loved you as Bane". ?

Bonus question: Out of Courtney and Hardy, who gets more sex than the one who gets more sex than any of us combined?

Yes.

Yes.

Yes.

Hardy to that final question, for sure. It's pretty well known around L.A. that he was a total slut. And when it got out that it wasn't just women he crawled into a tight privacy-hole.

Not that there's anything wrong with any of that.

I'd appreciate if you stopped talking about me like that.

Hardy is married now, no?

I imagine Jai Courtney gets tonnes of action because he's a good looking bloke, but the people he's fucking have no idea that he's "famous" or "in movies". They just fuck him cuz he's hot.
He probably keeps this folded up in his pocket:

Jackknife I had no idea that was you. Don't bury your face in the pillow next time! His walls are soundproof.

Why would you ever get married as a celeb?  I mean, I get it.  True love, commitment etc. great good nice.   But it's staggering to think how easily Hardy would get laid almost anywhere on the planet.

He never tried to fuck me. But I'd've been like, "Can't we just cuddle?"

You're the dude who goes in Tinder and says in his profile "I'm only here to make friends."

I dunno... I'm a pretty miserable single person even when I get a lot of attention. I'd much rather have one person in my life than shag a million people in a week.

People are wired differently. I get that from Chris Hemsworth for example. That guy could get anyone on earth in bed without opening his mouth but he's clearly happier having a wife and a bunch of kids. I'm of that mind, just sans kids.

And, of course, I'm not as handsome. By 2%. Just that. I did the math.

Clearly? We don't really know these guys. There are plenty of guys out there with wives and families who cheat. Tiger Woods was one of the best examples. Even super nice guy John Ritter. A man with money and fame is a a tough dog to keep on the porch. I once heard Kevin Costner say that being a celebrity is the closest a man will ever get to knowing what it's like to be a beautiful woman.

Well yeah, I'm clearly going from general impressions here. But I personally know a few Hemsworth-level looking guys who are happily and faithfully married.

One of my brother's schoolmates became a massively in demand male model here in his early twenties. When he was 27 he'd been dating his current wife for a year and a half. He has 3 kids and couldn't be happier. And this guy is a crazy beautiful person with money and an interesting brain to boot.

I bet after a few years of being a male model and literally getting laid a few times a week by 10's you don't feel such a burning need to prove yourself anymore.

Tell that Leonardo DiCaprio.

Anyway, how did we get on this subject? Oh, yeah, I made a dumb joke and it took on a divergent and hideous life of its own. I hate myself.
In the wrong thread no less! I think this sucker has been pretty much put to bed.

Plus, I think you may have gotten Courtney mixed up with Joel Kinnaman (as Hardy was up for Flag and not Boomerang).

Or maybe I misunderstood how this divergent thread universe began.

No, I've simply seen people mistake Courtney for Hardy in different instances. But you have reminded me that I liked Joel Kinnaman in this. Clara Delevigne is a bit more difficult to judge because the June Moon role is almost irrelevant and her performance as the Enchantress is heavily modified by CGI and vocal processing so you get very little clear sense of her as an actress. I did like all of the "voodoo gyrations" and whatnot. It was an interesting choice.

I have NO idea how that's possible. Their appearances and acting styles are completely different.

It's like getting Will Smith mixed up with Steve Buscemi.

Not in movies, but in photos and specifically in response to the trailers for this film. It happens when Courtney is bearded and scruffy looking, which is Hardy's default look.

Pah. I can't imagine Tom Hardy getting mixed up with anyone else. Look at him!

He's so distinctive! It's impossible to confuse him with anyone else!

I spent half of that movie thinking how much he looked like Hardy.

Cara Delevigne was fine, I guess. As much as, say, the woman who played Gozer did fine. It ended up being a role defined entirely by physical presence, which she was sufficient for. Does she have a dance background?
