I have to say that it's nice to see the greatest genre ever finally starting to get the respect it deserves.

Things have definitely been looking up.

This last month will have brought us Freddy vs Jason, Cabin Fever, Underworld and Jeepers Creepers 2 (all in wide release). That is a slew of genre films for such a short span of time.

Keep 'em coming.

UNEARTHED FILMS president Stephen Biro is a great guy! I first met him at the mega-popular horror film-themed "Saints & Sinners" film festival in St. Petersburg, Florida. Since then, we've become friends and he's been very supportive of our award-winning horror film "Filthy" over the months. Glad to see Stephen's company is doing so well and has a lot of great projects coming up in the future. You're sure to see some really great things coming from Stephen and Unearthed Films. Tampa Bay, Florida is really becoming the national hotbed of horror!

I'm thinking it's safe to say that horror is in a boom. The 80's had some great stuff but the 2nd half is when it all started to go down hill and led to the 90's. The 90's might have been the worst decade for horror in its history. I think when this decade is over it will go down as one of the best and could end up going toe to toe with the 70's.

What I'd like to see though is a good-old fashioned, serious, epic horror film. I'm lovin the House's, Cabin Fever's and May's but a masterpiece is what I really want to see.

Now that horror is bringing in the money I hope a studio somewhere is willing to spend some serious cash and actually put effort into one like blockbusters of other genres.
