The Ghoul -- Boris Karloff DVD

I saw this at Best Buy recently, and it brought back memories...in the mid-90s I special-ordered a very crappy GoodTimes VHS of this from Suncoast Video, b/c it was a "lost" Karloff film that I desperately wanted to see. It was not one of his better ones...an intriguing story, but highly melodramatic...but still, it's nice to see it on the shelves for 9.99.

Still, what's up with that "big eye" cover art?

Anybody else seen this one?

I have it, but haven't watched it nor seen it before. Will do so soon. Want some movies to watch on Halloween.

Speaking of "lost" Karloff...it's not really lost, but is Isle of the Dead available anywhere on DVD? Caught it once on late night tv and kind of dug it.

I'm the same way about "Old Dark House"--I've been trying like mad to get hold of the DVD of it and the Son of/Ghost of Frankenstein DVD on eBay, but as I don't have $50 each to spend on them, I always get outbid. frown

I've never seen it. Interested I am.

Scott, I'd love to see your DVD collection. It's got to be so much different than mine as I own none of the old stuff.

I'll try to make a list, and then I'll show it to you, but only if you'll make me a copy of your Wolfman cardboard standee.

Oh, Scott, you're gonna hate me. I have a Dracula Universal standee for the first line of DVDs that came out years ago. Got a Frankenstein one too, but I'm not willing to let that one go.

I've gotta say, my dvd collection is a pretty varied lot with a good ration of old and new alike. I've got my dad to thank for exposing me to the monster classics.

*popping in his "Dead Milkmen" tape from years ago*

"Everybody's got nice stuff but me...Everybody's got nice stuff but me...I want a car, I want a standee..."
