Indeed.  Hated her in those first Arrow eps (and early LoT when she was dealing with being resurrected, etc) with all the gloomy sadface.  But man, her turnaround as a character has been awesome - you totally buy her being a respected leader of this team of misfits, idiots and wrong'uns.

Sara was so awesome even in Season 1.

Lotz is also extremely fit.  Perhaps one of the few actors (either gender) in any of the DCTV who bothers to keep in shape for the role.  Watching her is "The Machine" also proved she's quite one hell of an actress.

You do not want to mess with her that's for sure. She's amazing.

Man, did it get dusty in my living room with Grey and Jeffersons goodbye.

And pick any random five minutes of this and it was better then the entire Justice League movie. Well done!

Since this seems to be the place for this.

-Wally, you’re like the third most powerful guy we have, but… nobody likes you. Go protect the recurring characters, you frickin’ spaz. Also, you get three lines, try not to fuck ‘em up like you did one of comic’s most beloved characters.

-I know they’re Nazis, but still—given Flash, Supergirl, Ollie, and even Sara’s stances on killing, it’s a bit weird to see Alex and others blowing people away like John Wick. And given the way Ollie’s arrows were launching ninjas through walls…  I’m just saying, the Nazis take their enemies prisoner. The heroes are the ones with a body count!

-Likewise, Barry really has the Reverse Flash dead to rights and lets him go? Because he doesn’t believe in killing? Like, surely a hundred or more Nazis are dead at this point, all of whom were presumably child soldiers unlike RF, who chose to ally himself with Nazis and pull all his other shit of his own free will. Just hold him down and let Sara shoot him in the head! Or take him back to your giant prison for metahumans that you own and imprison him there. God, you suck Barry.

-Also sucking? Felicity. You’re really going to interrupt another couple’s wedding vows to propose to your boyfriend? Like, it’s bad form just to propose at a wedding. Oliver was doing pretty alright by, instead of having a public proposal, just quietly discussing the possibility with you, when you had to yell about it and make a scene. Oliver Queen has more social awareness than you, woman. Think about that.

-“I’m loyal to the Fatherland… and to my wife.” Sadly, that’s one of the healthier relationships on these shows.

-Did they have to do Reverse-Flash? He was already the Big Bad of an entire season, then he was brought back from being erased from existence to be the Big Bad over on Legends, now he just says “time travel!” and like that he’s back from the dead? Come off it.

-I know these shows can’t afford to be wall-to-wall action, but the twenty-minute stretch in episode 2 that is just Barry and Iris and Oliver and Felicity discussing their relationships over and over and over again is fucking dire.

-Oh man, they Raven’d the priest!

-This crossover does offer up an important moral dilemma: who’s worse, a Nazi or someone who says “hashtag melting pot,” out loud, in conversation. Because when you think about it, the Nazi was raised to be a Nazi, but the other person had a choice and they chose to say “hashtag melting pot.” They chose.

-I gotta imagine one of the worst parts of living on Earth-X is all the Nazi banners everywhere. Imagine trying to work in one of those office buildings. “Yes, I get that the Nazis won the war, but that was seventy years ago! Can I please have a view out of my office now?”

-For all the talk of the Arrowverse being lighter and funner than the DCEU, they really didn’t shirk away from having the heroes in a concentration camp, which was as dark as anything in Justice League and arguably in poorer taste.

-Although the really offensive thing is that, after seventy years of Nazis running the world, there are apparently still enough ethnicities to keep the ethnic cleansing going. So much for German efficiency!

-See, this is why I wouldn’t be a good superhero. If I heard there was a flying threat incoming, I would send my two flying guys, Firestorm and Ray, to handle it, instead of one flying guy and one guy who can run.

-This is also why I wouldn’t be a good superhero writer. If I had to explain why a nigh-invulnerable firegod would split into two fleshy humans to accomplish two different tasks, I would come up with some contrivance where the things had to be done simultaneously at different locations, like turning the keys to fire a nuclear missile. Otherwise, the characters would probably just stay a firegod and do them one after the other.

-So, why was Ubergirl going to explode in a supernova? That was kind of the motivation behind this entire plotline and they never really explained it.

-And how did they build their own futuristic time-ship? Are Nazis just smarter than us, that they have technology centuries ahead of ours?

-Was Harry Dresden really the only cast member who could do a German accent? I mean, that’s kinda obligatory, isn’t it? Evil Ollie and Kara pretty much just acted like standard slinky villains, the same as if Darkseid were mind-controlling them or something, not like they’d been raised from birth in Nazi Germany.

-Also, is Jimmy Guardian supposed to be Captain America in this? Because no. No way. Although I can totally imagine that a universe with Jimmy Olsen as its greatest hero would absolutely fall to the Nazis.

I did wonder about this.

I thought Nazi Kara's illness was a nice homage to All Star Superman.

I only watch "Supergirl," so I was pretty confused at times.  Still, the crossover was a lot of fun and well done.

Same here. I had no idea who half the characters were, or even which shows they were from. It was a kick to see Mr. Terrific pop up though.

Well, if he had been Giant Turtle Man instead, the Nazis would had been so fucked.

Also, it boggles my mind that WB/DC makes so many mistakes, and TV-wise, they have Wild Dog on a hit tv show.

“Punching Nazis. That was definitely as satisfying as I thought it would be!”

Also: you have a smorgasbord of superheroes taken completely by surprise, and your first shot vaporizes--the minister? What, did you let Colonel Klink have the first go?

I do agree with Avian that Barry letting Reverse Flash go made no sense. Everybody but Kara* was killing and it wasn't bothering their consciences. Barry could have at least broken his legs and took him prisoner.

Kara was busy fighting Ubergirl and she didn't seem to upset went she blew up.

Taking RF prisoner is what caused Flashpoint. Cisco started to disappear. Killing him does nothing. Eddie killed himself to kill Eobard, and the Legends killed him (and a ton of other hims) again, and yet he's back anyway. Because speedforce, or whatever.

That was an RF that was in the middle of his own timeline. If he was kept caged, he couldn't go back and kill Barry's mother, thus starting the timeline in the show. This was an RF that had gone through Season 1 (where he died) and presumably LOT Season 2 (where he died again) but didn't have to worry about Black Flash or time wraiths because... time travel.

I know comic books bring everything back, but you'd think a show that's only going to run for seven years or so could resist the urge to bring back someone that's deader than dead.

I do wonder why we simply didn't get an evil Barry from Earth-X.  Would have required a lot less explaining.

They just did evil Barry last season with Savitar, so I get skipping that. They could have just done the actual Thawne/Wells from Earth X, or an evil Wally though.

Felicity is the worst. Fucking look at this shit they're pulling after interrupting the oceanside wedding between Barry and Iris.

lol. Show could have rebooted with everyone dying on the island. Keep things simple with Oliver and maybe Speedy.

You know, through the whole crossover I was behind Felicity.  Pretty much everything she said made sense, she was useful, she wasn't overtly annoying in the slightest and I could completely relate to where she was coming from at nearly every turn.

And then that final scene came along and just . . . fuck you, Felicity, you utter bitch.

Still, those legs, man . . .

Supergirl vs Reign was a well done fight. The shot of Kara flipping over after having her legs taken out from under her was a cool shot. I felt bad for her when she was lying unconscious after being dropped off a building. Of course I know she will recover and win in the end, but since I like Kara, odds are I'll enjoy seeing it happen. Not to keep kicking a dead horse, but one of the reasons Superman dying in BvS didn't mean anything to me is because that character is a mopey dick.

Reign taking out the gang was a good homage to the dock fight in Batman Begins. I like that Reign is the anti-Supergirl and doesn't see herself as a villain.

This is who plays Reign?

I'll always remember her from House, or even better, Banshee.  Put up a helluva fight.

Her and bowtie guy was an incredible fight in a show that had about a dozen incredible fights.  Puts a ton of fight choreography for big budget movies to shame.

Plus, Banshee cast a ton of ... I just learned this, how do the kids say it ... ah yes, "smokeshows."

Damn but that fight was brutal. Also brutal: leaving us hanging until mid-January.

She'll always be that chick (Beth?) that the protags go save in Cloverfield to me.

That last shot of Supergirl falling was really well done.  Even if it did seem to riff on her similar fall from the end of the crossover.

Shouldn't they be putting a ton of sun-lamps over SG in the ER?

Absolutely.  Plus, they need to keep blankets and clothing to a minimum (or removed entirely) to increase skin exposure to helpful sun rays.

Downloading Hall and Oates tunes.

He was on his way, but he was out of Chocos and the store was about to close...

I see what you did there, my lord.
