Yeah.

And just for the record:

My Keepers (Chicago Sunroofs):

RB Matt Forte
RB A. Ellington
QB B. Roethlispenis

No rookie keeper

Just like to add that on the Yahoo software, under the My Team option was an option to select your own keepers. We had until sometime this week to make and change those selections. I had put mine in shortly after joining this years league about 3 months ago.

What would you guys think about switching to ESPN and just starting over with a draft in the next week or two...

Johnny - I put mine in at that time as well but for some reason Yahoo didn't hold them when I finalized the teams. This is just a huge mess.

With old keepers or fresh. We would need a vote either way. But a quick one
post #57 of 276
I'm up for whatever.

I vote we just name our keepers (either the same as before, or changes based on injuries) and switch to a new league since Yahoo won't even let me pause the draft again

I agree

OK.

Here is a look at the rosters from teh end of last season:

Here is the draft order:  (actually, the draft order is the REVERSE of this)

I'm good with that though I will change my rookie keeper to Tre Mason once we start.  Not sure yet

I am about to send out invitations to the new league. It is created and once I have players accept, I will start adding keepers. I scheduled draft for the SUnday before the season starts (Sept. 6)

Is there a better time that day (I did 3 p.m.) but I can change that if needed

yes lets mulligan

Invites to new league has just been sent. ESPN is our new home

No invite yet but I'll wait a bit.

Me either.

I hate to be a shitter for this, but I think this gives me an opportunity to duck out of this now. I will not be able to draft on that Sunday, so auto draft for me, plus this is my 5th league now, and since I don't really have anything keeping me in it other that the history I had with you guys, I think I can bid you all adieu and good luck.

I would think you'd still be able to find a new manager for this league. If not, the autodraft should buy you time for someone else to come in and take over the team. I will help out however I can to get my spot taken.

Thanks, gents.

Anya - I sent the email to your sbcglobal email - is that right?

Thomas - yours went to a Yahoo email

Yeah, not sure what's up, it's not anywhere.  I just got a message saying we're switching to ESPN and you sent out invites, but there's no invite link in that e-mail.

kboggs99@sbcglobal.net  that's it.  I'm sure it'll show up eventually today

I just got the email that says it was successfully created, so I assume the invitations should go out shortly

I'm adjusting my rookie keeper

I kept

QB Andrew Luck Colts

RB Justin Forsett Ravens

WR E. Sanders Den

Rookie Tre Mason STL

ESPN makes keepers so much easier

Perfecto!

Just for the record, my keepers (Hong Kong Cavaliers) are the same as before:

Drew Brees

Demaryius Thomas

Alfred Morris

Jeremy Hill (rookie)

I'm in. My keepers are the same except Murray instead of Benjamin. So:

TE Gronk

WR Antonio Brown

RB Eddie Lacy

RK Latavius Murray

Milton Steelers

QB Aaron Rodgers

RB Marshawn Lynch

WR Julio Jones

Rookie: Lorenzo Taliaferro

I probably won't be able to make the draft, but we'll see how my schedule shakes out during DragonCon. I'll try to set up my auto-draft to pull anyone I really want. Although the auto-draft that was done in the Yahoo league before we switched gave me an "A".

Yeah, my autodraft got me an A+ yesterday.  Its probably better for my team if the computers pick.

Is there any way to close down the Yahoo one?  Or withdraw from it?

Keeper league question(s)....This is the 5th year of a PPR league I run, and we all have decided to make it a keeper league as well. You can keep a max of 2 players, and the next year they cost the same round they were originally drafted in.

So I have 2 questions for you Keeper League-ers:

1) Are you able to keep free agents in most keeper leagues? And if yes, what round of value do you usually assign them? (We have 16 rounds)

2) What do you do about injured guys like Benjamin and Nelson? If one team drafts those two in rounds 15 and 16, are they able to keep them as 15th and 16th round picks next year? Or should each keeper have a minimum value of, say, the 7th or 8th round the following year?

I just don't want someone to draft Nelson and Benjamin late, tank this year, and then have 2 #1 WRs with late round picks next year. That doesn't seem fair to the rest of the league, but then again, anyone could draft them any where they wanted....

Anyways, hope this makes sense, and I appreciate any advice and tips.

Thanks people.

Just to reiterate

Keepers:

Jimmy Grahahm

Jamaal Charles

Desean Jackson

Rookie

Sammy Watkins.

My team is created.

In all the keeper leagues i'm in, we never do the "you protect them in the round" - we either give them salaries based on when they're drafted and bump it each year, or it's just a free keeper.

1. In the Keeper leagues that we assign draft positions, free agents can be kept and are two ways to deal with it:

A. the last draft spot if they were not drafted by anyone.

B. If someone drafted them and dropped them, they retain the round that player was drafted in.

- If someone trades you a player, they retain the position they were drafted at by that team. If you get two players that were drafted in the same spot, you lose the next pick as well.

2. We keep them at the position they were drafted in, no matter how low. That rewards late round sleepers. In my fantasy baseball league, we use keepers and I actually have a 22nd pick that I am keeping next year (he was a minor leaguer that was called up - we have 2 minor league spots).

As far as drafting two injured receivers late and having them as great picks next year, that is their choice. It is not really sportsmanlike, but it is fair and within the rules. You can't really punish someone who lucks out with a 15th round sleeper just to protect yourself against a poor sportsman.

Let's get one more team in the B-League to make it an even 14 team league.

14 teams blow.  we have an open slot in keeper.  someone take that

Someone already took the open team

Same keepers, going back to Jack Lambert's Teeth for now:

QB Peyton Manning

WR Alshon Jeffery

RB Lamar Miller

Rookie RB Kerwynn Williams

Yeah, Dylan, boot me from the B-League and you can keep it at twelve.  I want no piece of 14.  "Fred Kwan Is Hungry!"

Yeah its my fault, I meant to change the number of teams to 12 the other day and didn't have a chance before a 13th team joined
post #95 of 276
It's all good. And I really don't like 14+ teams in a league. I've got plenty of others to go with. Maybe next year.

Im going to kick the new team off, since you've been around awhile!

Wait, fuck... I can't. The new team isn't actually new, they won last season. Lol
post #99 of 276

I don't know if they still come here, but I still need whoever runs Orlando Calrissians to claim their ESPN team to fill the A-league. Their identity was anonymous on Yahoo, so I have no idea who it was.

That was Richard Dickson.  I thought he was out or am I wrong?
