best article ever.

although i did enjoy Rose McGowan's breasts in Scream,i think they put forth a much better performance in the Doom Generation.i know,i know,its not a horror movie.but people do get killed and Skinny Puppy play a ruthless gang!with CHAINS!

ok,that was pointless,but i was told to come here and discuss breasts and by golly i DID!

*i know the article was about how too much reliance on breasts may be ruining mainstream horror but,i just really wanted to discuss Rose McGowan and the opportunity arose.sorry*

What I find odd lately (in the last ten years or so) is that there have been less gratuitous NAKED breasts in horror movies. Sure, Scream and IKWYDLS had their share of boobage, but all clothed. When we do see some breasts in these movies, it's on cadavers or ghosts or zombies. Certainly nothing to get excited over. (Of course, I can't speak for the rest of you necrophiliacs.)

I miss the good old days of pointless skinny-dipping or shower scenes in slashers like the Friday the 13th series. By the way, any nudity in Jason X?

Good article, indeed! I fully agreed to it. It's nice once in awhile to have a bit of cleavage or bare breast. It's an old cliche, sure, but it sometimes can bring back good memories in that way. Like, "Ahh, those tits remind me of the pair on that gal in *insert movie name here*...damn, that was a good movie." But, still, if it goes too far and starts becoming the primary focus of advertising and whatnot, it begins to bother me. To be honest, in my own horror scripts and whatnot, any focus on sex/cleavage/whatnot is more for character/plot development. But that's just me.

Anyways. Yea. Thumbs up to a good piece of literature on an interesting subject.
....and you may now commence laughing because of that last sentence.

I feel you can never have enough naked breasts in movies and you certainly can't have enough of Rose McGowan naked in movies, especially as a brunette!

yer daaaaaaaaamn right!

also,i'm a huge Linnea Quigley fan.i mean,yeah,her face looks kind of like it was beaten with a hot iron,but thats not the point!she was in some of the best cheesey horror movies ever and a Ramones video.thumbs up for sure!

Return of the Living Dead has the goofiest Linnea Quigley nude scene ever. Stripping in a graveyard for no apparent reason, and then it takes a long time for her to get covered up again. But I'm not complaining.

I once saw this movie edited for TNT. It was hysterical to see them cut around this scene.

Jewel Shepard's autobiography is a great insight into the Scream Queen universe. She's a funny writer too - like Bruce Campbell with nicer breasts. It's out of print now, but second-hand copies are easy enough to find.
