NHL 2015-2016 Season

Thread Starter

Preseason games for 2015-2016 start today!

We went to the Carolina Hurricanes festival yesterday and snagged a bunch of signatures. Saw the Red-White game. Plus my son got a picture with Eric Staal!

Let's hope this year we don't suck!

It's nice to see it back but this Patrick Kane story has a huge cloud over some of Chicago.  I say some because somehow he got a standing O at training camp which I don't get.  You don't have to boo but be silent as a sign of respect to the accuser.

That being said this case is fucked and weird.  A report came out that there was no DNA evidence from Kane in her genital area or underwear.  Then The victim's lawyer said the mother received the evidence bag at her home.  Then a day later(today) the victim's lawyer quit because he was uncomfortable with the mothers story on how she got the bag.  Basically she lied.  It's an SVU episode.

And the new Hawk they got from Columbus, Dano, is looking good.  Same w/ Tevo.  Game on!

*It's official-The mother of the accuser made up the story of the rape kit bag.  The mother is scum.

Scum bag Raffi Torres suspended 41 games for his signature illegal hit.

Good riddance.

Fett's favorite team is riding a 4 game win streak.  Anaheim's goalie cheating by knocking the goal off it's moorings that made an easy goal disallowed.  But the Captain came through in OT in the 2nd straight game in a 1-0 win.

That's nice they won against a terrible team. So when are you going to start the "Chicago Blackhawks March to the Stanley Cup" thread? The last one worked so well! :D

Canucks hammered the Habs tonight in a decisive 5-1 win. What a glorious night.

You know when that joke doesn't work, right?  They have 3 Cups in 6 years you dolt.

Oh I'm quite aware of what they've done you fucking moron. Not that you would know anything about subtlety, sarcasm or wit.

In other news to make Fett happy

http://deadspin.com/report-patrick-kanes-accuser-will-no-longer-cooperate-1740275119

Quote:
The Buffalo News reports that the woman approached investigators last week, and signed a document called an “affidavit declining prosecution.” The ultimate decision lies in the hands of Erie County District Attorney Frank Sedita, but sexual assault cases are notoriously difficult to prosecute without the cooperation of an accuser. This move makes it almost certain that Kane will not face charges.

They cite her reason as stress from the case, but this case was very iffy with the DNA supporting Kane and ended when her mom lied to her lawyer about the rape kit.  Whether or not she was in on it is still not known.

Now back to hockey.  Hawks beat Kings.  They still have to mesh better and carry their home play to the road.

And Patrick Kane was set up

http://www.wgrz.com/story/news/2015/11/05/patrick-kane-case-over/75203792/

Quote:
There are significant material inconsistencies between the complainant’s accounts and those of other witnesses.
  • The DNA results lend no corroboration whatsoever to the complainant’s claim of penetration, a required element of proof for a rape charge.
  • The physical evidence and the forensic evidence, when viewed in tandem, tend to contradict the complainant’s claim that she was raped on Kane’s bed.
  • Although Kane has exercised his constitutional right to remain silent (which prohibits questioning by law enforcement), he has made no known incriminating statements to any civilian, nor has he engaged in any conduct consistent with a consciousness of guilt.

So not only was there no Kane DNA on her that corroborated her story, HER DNA wasn't in his bed where she said the rape occurred.  She was looking for a payday and she just made it harder for womeb who were actually raped.

Fett's favorite team has won 11 in a row and his 2nd fav player is leading the league in goals and assists.

Ice Skating is on NBC while the NHL All Star Game is on NBCSN.  Shameful.

Stay classy Nashville.  You can boo Kane again when the Blackhawks knock you out again.

Andrew Ladd is coming back to the Hawks. Danonand a first rounder. Worth it if the get another Cup
post #15 of 49

MVP!  Fett must be loving Kane's great season.

What's that? Can't understand you. Must be Kane's dick clogging your massive piehole.

Hopefully it was consensual this time. :D

I can't hear you all the way down in 10th in the Conference.  Have a fun offseason

Not frustrated at all. You're probably jealous that more guys prefer to fuck that hole in the ice than you.

Hey look Fett-more bad news for you

"Based on its review, including the determination made by the Erie County District Attorney not to pursue charges, the NHL has concluded that the allegations made against Kane were unfounded," the NHL announced. "The league considers the matter closed and will have no further comment."

That's it.  She lied.

For the first time since 1970 there will be no Canadian teams in the Stanley Cup playoffs.

Yeah, this will be the first time in awhile that I'm skipping the playoffs. Looking forward to the IIHF World Championship in Russia near the end of May, should be a lot of fun compared to watered down game that Bettman likes to push into crappy markets.

Also, Duncan Keith is a cunt. Hope he gets 10+ games.

Keith gets five meaningless regular games and one playoff game.

This league is a fucking joke.

hahahahaha.  I guessed 5.  I'm just glad it's short enough to piss off Fett.

His suspension won't matter if Crawford can't come back.  And Patrick Kane is 4 points and 4 games away from the Hart Trophy.  MVP!  MVP!

Bye Bye Bruins

Hello St Louis. Always nice to beat the Blues.

Kind of stunned Philly got in
I'm pulling for the Capitals to win it all. Would love to see San Jose make it to the finals.

Fucking Blues coach is a pussy.  Crying about the officials.

SJ up 2-0 and coming home.  They better finish the Kings off quick.

Washington dominated last night. Philly is on the way out.

And Fett has to wait at least another game to shit on the Hawks.

And the Kings have SJ right where they want them

Poor Fett.  He's was all ready to trash the Hawks and now he has to wait.

Hawks gonna Hawk.

Caps are ready to wrap this series up.

Are they?  Wouldn't game 5 at home been the place to do that?

I would have hoped. If they lose today I'll be saying the same thing before game 7.

I can see the Flyers winging this then the Caps blowing them out in 7.  But the Caps players have to have that nagging thought in the back of their mind that they will choke it away again.

Fantastic win for the Blues.  Needless to say I'm pretty happy right now.

You can kindly shut the fuck up forever, Anya.

Great series.  Grats, Fett.

It took you a while to get in here.  Were you jacking off to the Blues winning?

Sharks in 6. It's finally going to happen for them this year.

Canada wins the Gold Medal at the IIHF Men's World Hockey Championship in a 2-0 shutout of a very good Finland team.  This and the semi-final against the U.S. yesterday were some fantastic hockey. Of course the IIHF competition means something unlike the NHL Cash Cup of Hockey Presented by Budweiser being put on in September.

Canada's going to win that one too.

Bye bye Blues. 😂

I've been watching the Sharks for their entire existence, and THIS is the year I stopped.

In my defense, I wasn't going to pay $100 a month for freakin NBC Sports.

Hell with it, I'm cannonballin' back on that bandwagon. Woo!

If Tampa wins the series, it will be a Stanley Cup matchup of the very first NHL game I ever went to, when I drove south to Expo Hall to watch the Lightning play the Sharks in 1992. So I'm definitely rooting for that.

I was so hopeful to watch a new, long suffering franchise hoist the Cup after the first round had been determined. I would have been more than content with Washington, St. Louis, or San Jose.

Such a kick to the nuts that an unlikeable team like Pittsburgh is going to win it all. Gross.

So fucking stupid....

As if the Hawks division wasn't tough enough now Subban is coming to Nashville
post #49 of 49

Figured here was as good a place as any to post about it.

A proposed bill for public funding for a new arena for the Arizona Coyotes looks to be dead at legislature. The team has been at odds with the city of Glendale (which built them an arena only 13 years ago), and the NHL recently issued a statement saying that the team cannot and will not succeed in Glendale and must leave.

There was a deal ready to be put in place with Arizona State University to team up on a new facility, and ASU very suddenly and abruptly said in February that they no longer had any intention of working on the deal. So, it was left to try and use public funding.

I've made peace with it. I love my team, but they're terrible, they've suffered terrible ownership after terrible ownership, an awful coach, and a bullshit "rebuild" mentality that's sent good player after good player off to other teams to win the Cup or begin great careers. The franchise has been mishandled since day once, and I'm okay with a relocation. I certainly don't want to pitch in for yet another arena that will likely end up dormant in a few years, anyway. A team that thinks its okay to tank season after season and fail to build a local fanbase, then try to demand money from said non-existent fanbase is just not an organization I want to support that passionately anymore.

Give the team to Seattle (gut the fucking front office first, of course). They deserve another major sports team, and if a city is willing to embrace a MLS team, they'll go apeshit for hockey. An instant rivalry with Vancouver would be good fun, too.
